Abstract: A seed harvester is provided for harvesting seeds from a standing crop without cutting the crop. The harvester is particularly designed for harvesting grass seed. The harvester includes a header assembly for stripping from the crop, and a seed separator for drawing the seeds from the header assembly in an air stream and for separating the seeds from the air stream. The header assembly includes a frame assembly having a transverse inlet which communicates with the seed separator. An endless revolving stripping surface is mounted across this transverse opening to contact the seed heads of the crop and strip the mature seeds from the crop. A rotating reel is mounted to rotate parallel to, and above and forwardly of, the seed stripping surface. On rotation, the reel guides the crop into contact with the seed stripping surface and holds it there for a time to permit the seed stripping surface to remove mature seeds from the crop. The seed separator includes a duct, curved between its ends.

Abstract: An overhead tilting door assembly is provided, particularly for use in large buildings. The door assembly includes a door member having a quadrant member attached to each of its upper corners. Generally horizontal support members are provided on either side of the door member extending rearwardly therefrom. Each quadrant member is rolled along a support member to tilt the door between open and closed positions. A drive means is pivotally attached to a quadrant member for tilting the door member and for locking the door member against movement, unless being tilted by the drive means. The assembly also includes anti-skid means between the quadrant members and the support members to force the quadrant members to roll and not skid along the support members.
Abstract: Method and apparatus to extract heat by transferring heat from hot compressed refrigerant to a coolant, such as water, without exceeding preselected temperatures in the coolant and avoiding boiling in a water system by removing the coolant from direct or indirect contact with the hot refrigerant.
Abstract: The applicator is annular in configuration, having top and bottom walls formed of elastic material. The central openings through these walls are undersized, so that the walls seal around the string of pipe passing through the openings. The applicator is mounted on the string and is free to move laterally with it. Thus there is provided a free-floating, sealed, annular spray chamber mounted on the string and free to move laterally with it. A ring of nozzles is mounted within the chamber for spraying the string. A pump and conduit supply pressurized chemical to the nozzles. A vacuum pump and conduit suck excess chemical from the chamber for recovery.
Abstract: The fastener comprises the combination of a gang nail plate and a clip. The plate is driven into the gypsum board panel to attach itself thereto. The clip connects with the plate and extends beyond its side edge. A screw or nail is driven through an aperture in the protruding end of the clip, to secure the panel to a supporting stud. The gang nail plate is known. It consists of a plate having tangs protruding from the inner face thereof and a slot-forming transverse member protruding from the outer face. The clip is a flat, rectangular, spring steel plate formed with an upwardly inclined inner end, a flat outer end, and a downwardly inclined central portion. The clip's inner end is wedged into the slot to tightly connect panel, plate and clip.
