  • Patent number: 5725260
Abstract: A locking arrangement comprises a movable control member at the wing and a stationary counter-member at the frame. The control member is arranged at a connecting rod and is displaceable longitudinally along with the latter by means of a handle. In this way, the locking arrangement is displaced between a closing position and a releasing position. In order to achieve a trouble-free arrangement with a reliable closing position, at least one lever with a hook opening is provided in the counter-member which cooperates with the control member as a hook lever. This hook lever is swivelable transversely to the displacement direction of the control member. In the closing position, the hook lever is swiveled toward the control member until a hook opening receives the control member and its outer hook leg engages in front of the control member. In the releasing position, the hook lever is swiveled away from the control member and its outer hook leg is situated outside of the displacement direction of the control member.

  • Patent number: 5724800
Abstract: The ring spinning method drafts a sliver in a multi-stage drafting system where the sliver acquires a total draft in a range of from 60 to 150-fold. Following outlet from the last nip of the drafting system, the drafted sliver is conveyed without drafting over a guide path in which the fiber band is condensed to form a compact fiber strand of not more than 2.5 millimeters width and preferably less than 1 millimeter in width. At the end of the guide path, the fiber strand passes through a twist inhibiting nip between two rollers and is then passed by twist distribution to a ring spinning device. The yarn produced possesses a quality with respect to hairiness and neps.

  • Patent number: 5722595
Abstract: The grip assembly is made of two members each of which is formed of a plastic. A one piece base member forms a barrel having a radial shoulder at one end and a radial flange at the opposite end. A cover member telescopes over the base member and is received at the respective ends on the shoulder and on the flange of the base member in a locked relation. The base member has an internally threaded collar at one end for receiving a threaded stem of a spray head unit while the opposite end is provided with an externally threaded stem to thread into a fitting of a hose assembly. A relatively large annular chamber is provided between the cover and the base member for insulation purposes to protect the user against the heat of hot water flowing through the grip assembly.

A catch hook which is articulated at the stationary articulated part so as to be swivelable engages the stop and a locking arrangement has an actuating lever which is supported at the stationary articulated part so as to be rotatable and which is spring-loaded in the locking direction. The actuating lever communicates with a locking cam which secures the catch hook. A control arm contacting the stop is held under pretensioning by the spring element which acts upon the actuating lever in the locking direction. In the release position of the catch hook, the actuating lever is held by the catch lever in a releasable manner.

  • Patent number: 5720861
Abstract: An improvement is proposed in the method for the preparation of a magnetic recording medium comprising a non-magnetic substrate plate of silicon and a magnetic recording layer formed on the substrate surface by the method of bias-sputtering, by which the magnetic recording layer can be imparted with an unexpectedly large coercive force. The improvement can be accomplished by the use of a silicon substrate plate which has a volume resistivity not exceeding 2 ohm-cm at room temperature. The improvement is more remarkable when the contact resistance between the silicon substrate plate and the substrate holder is kept not to exceed 10 kohm during the bias-sputtering for the formation of the magnetic recording layer on the substrate surface.
