  • Patent number: 8192542
Abstract: Method for producing an aqueous suspension, which is based on a hydraulic binder, and a hardened binder product. According to the invention, a composition of blending agents is added in the aqueous phase into the binder, which composition comprises calcium carbonate particles having an average particle size of 2-200 nm, in order to generate an aqueous suspension and, if needed, mineral fillers are added into this suspension, in order to produce a hardening plaster or concrete mixture. Besides calcium carbonate, the composition of blending agents can comprise calcium hydrogen carbonate and meta-kaolin sinter, too.

  • Patent number: 8192175
Abstract: When employing synthetically commutated hydraulic pumps (1), a time delay between a change in fluid flow demand (15) and the resulting fluid flow output (13) can be observed. It is suggested to use a time evolvement function, taking into account the time evolvement of the fluid flow demand and/or the time evolvement of the pumping strokes, to modify the actuation of the electrically commutated valves.

  • Patent number: 8192153
Abstract: A circumferential row of aerofoil members span an annular duct for carrying a flow of compressible fluid. The duct is centered on the axis of a turbomachine. Pressure and suction surfaces of neighboring aerofoil members bound respective sectoral passages which receive the flow of compressible fluid. The row of aerofoil members includes at least one radial endwall to which the tangent to the trailing edge of each aerofoil member at midspan is substantially orthogonal. Each aerofoil member has reverse compound lean. Each aerofoil member further has a leading edge which has a position at the endwall which is upstream of its position at midspan. The endwall at each sectoral passage has a non-axisymmetrical cross-section formed by a region that, in meridional section, is convexly profiled immediately adjacent the pressure surface and a region that, in meridional section, is concavely profiled immediately adjacent the suction surface.

  • Patent number: 8192174
Abstract: The invention concerns a refrigerant compressor (1), in particular a semi-hermetic refrigerant compressor, with a compressor block (5) comprising several cylinders arranged in a star shape, a motor, whose rotor is unrotatably connected to a crankshaft (11) that comprises a crank pin (22) and is supported in a bearing (13) in the compressor block (5), and a piston in each cylinder, each piston being connected via a connecting rod (23) to the crank pin (22), the connecting rod (23) comprising a bearing pad (24) that rests on the crank pin (22), the bearing pads (24) of all connecting rods (23) being held on the crank pin (22) by means of a ring arrangement (25). It is endeavored to keep the load on the crankshaft small. For this purpose, each connecting rod (23) has a power application point (49) at the crank pin (22), which is displaced in the direction of the bearing (13) in relation to the axial center of the crank pin (22).

  • Patent number: 8193668
Abstract: Detecting a rotation state of a worm wheel side with good accuracy while allowing play between an armature-shaft-side coupling member and a worm-shaft-side coupling member. The armature-shaft-side coupling member is provided together rotatably to the other end of an armature shaft; the worm-shaft-side coupling member is provided together rotatably to one end of a worm shaft; the armature-shaft-side coupling member and the worm-shaft-side coupling member are coupled together rotatably; and a sensor magnet is provided together rotatably to the worm-shaft-side coupling member. Therefore, the rotation state of the worm shaft can be detected with good accuracy. Even if the play is provided between the armature-shaft-side coupling member and the worm-shaft-side coupling member, this play does not affect the accuracy of detection of the rotation state of the worm shaft, thereby bringing no problem regarding accuracy of detection of a rotation state of a worm wheel side.

  • Patent number: 8186197
Abstract: A flange-forming apparatus allows a user to automatically adjust the device's roll forming stations, concurrently together, for changing the height of a flange formed into a metal web by the roll forming stations, e.g., for ductwork. The height is adjustable within an infinite range between set maximum and minimum limits. Each roll forming station includes upper and lower roll forming pairs, which cooperate for forming the flange or portion thereof. Each roll forming pair includes a first roll forming portion, and a second, coaxial roll forming portion that is axially moveable towards and away from the first roll forming portion. (The portions are in effect a laterally split roll forming die.) The second roll forming portions are rotatably supported on a plate-like adjustment linkage assembly, which can be shifted, using an array of motor driven screw members, towards or away from the first roll forming portions.

  • Patent number: 8186934
Abstract: Provision of panels within casings can cause problems where retaining bolts require apertures in the casings, which in turn may reduce the structural strength of that casing. By providing a ring within the casing and appropriate retainer elements secured to that ring, which elements in turn appropriately present panels, it is possible to provide a casing assembly which avoids the necessity of drilling or otherwise forming holes in the casing. Dam elements can be provided at each end of the assembly to prevent axial movement and therefore retain panel position within the casing.

  • Patent number: 8181756
Abstract: A shock absorber is attached coaxially with a reciprocating rod driven by a reciprocating unit to prevent a bending moment from being applied to the reciprocating rod in absorbing an impact force. The shock absorber has a hollow rod and an outer cylindrical body mounted axially movably relatively to and outside the hollow rod. An accommodating space is formed between the hollow rod and the outer cylindrical body. A spring force in a direction of being relatively directed to one end portion side of the hollow rod is applied by a compression spring to the outer cylindrical body. The hollow rod is provided with an annular piston which partitions the accommodating space into two liquid chambers. When an impact force in a direction of being relatively directed to the other end side of the hollow rod is applied to the outer cylindrical body, liquid flows from one of the liquid chambers to the other through a gap, so that a resistance force is applied to the annular piston.
