  • Patent number: 4838188
Abstract: A sewing group is associated with a sewing machine and a feed device and comprises a work-holder drivable by two links supported on respective slides which are moved by separate stationary positioning motors which drive the respective slides. The maximum drive forces supplied in the two directions of movement of the feed device are as nearly equal as possible. Links are articulatedly connected with a work-holder for the transmission of exclusively axial forces. At the work-holder is pivoted one end of a guide arm structure whose other end is received for rotary movement in a longitudinal guide. Due to the equivalent load on the two links 13, 26 there result, for the positioning motors, equal drive conditions and equal maximum forces. The feed device is especially suitable for sewing groups with work-holders drivable by step motors.

  • Patent number: 4839790
Abstract: A gas accident preventive unit has a memory circuit which is capable of memorizing in advance a continuous service safety time according to a consumed gas volume of gas apparatuses that are installed at a gas user. The unit also includes a control circuit for sending out to an emergency shutoff valve, a close signal for cutting off the gas being supplied to the user in the event that any increase in gas flowrate is recognized in the previously measured value and the value measured this time by taking a measurement of the whole gas flowrate value being supplied to the gas user at a certain interval of time. The unit takes the measurement of continuous service hours on individual gas apparatuses or the gas apparatus having the largest gas consumption volume now under service, or responds to when the service of gas apparatus with the largest gas consumption volume being monitored has elapsed the continuous service safety time.

  • Patent number: 4836746
Abstract: The shafts of guide vanes of an axial-flow engine, in particular, a combustion turbine, are supported angle-adjustably in an annular guide vane carrier and are spring-loaded and vibration-damped in their axis directions. An adjustment ring concentric to the flow channel is supported play-free and with low-friction engagement in a groove of a carrier ring by radial and axial rolls. Levers wedged on the guide vane shafts are pivoted by pins in a cylinder bolt, which, in turn, are supported rotatably and displaceably in laterally open bores of the adjustment ring and axis-parallel to it. This permits a largely play-free transfer of the adjustment motion onto the guide vane shafts without point or line contact. The guide vane carrier closes off the groove of the carrier ring so, that the entire mechanism is protected against dust.

  • Patent number: 4833750
Abstract: The invention relates to a ramp section or assembly for a collapsible floating bridge or ferry. The ramp section comprises two inner and two part outer float elements, connected together by joints. The two parts of the float element are, according to the invention, composed of a pair of partial constant and partial transversely convering cross section and a pair movable relative to the part of partial constant and partial transversely converging cross section, which are pivotably connected by first joints. Through the first joint the movable part can be brought into aligned arrangement or juxtaposition with the part of constant cross section when picking up from or setting down on a transport vehicle, so that guiding by the rollers connected with the transport vehicle is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4834286
Abstract: The invention provides a spray gun for liquids and more especially liquid coatings such as paints and varnishes, comprising a liquid container, a housing, a pump for the supply of the liquid from the liquid container to a spray nozzle via a spring loaded outlet valve, and a return duct connecting the outlet of the outlet valve with the container and having an adjustable valve therein. Pumping may be caused to take place by switch means on the handle. For adjustment of the further valve, which may be preferably completely shut, there is an adjustment member in the front part of the spray gun on the jet side thereof, which is decoupled from the switching on means and, while being able to be steplessly adjusted, is able to remain in each setting of its own accord. This makes it possible for the spray jet to be modified readily without interrupting spraying and even when the spraying density is very low it possible to ensure an even spray cone.

  • Patent number: 4834348
Abstract: A support bearing with fluid damping in a housing which includes two chambers which are of variable volume and filled with a fluid, and are interconnected by a passage with a built-in restrictor valve. The housing includes rubber-elastic inner and outer walls of different degrees of hardness which are fastened to metallic support members. One of the supports is connected with the foundation and the other with the part (engine) to be supported. One chamber surrounds the other chamber circularly and a passage interconnects the chambers. The walls defining the chambers are incorporated in a housing connected to a support member. The elements comprises a rubber-elastic material and are formed in one piece and are firmly connected with the one supporting member, as well as with a support ring, which is advantageously connected with the other supporting member by mechanical means.

  • Patent number: 4834294
Abstract: A nozzle head of thermoplastic material injection nozzle is closed in the customary manner with a closure head which has a jet orifice. A jet needle closes the jet orifice in a closed position. The needle is held axially displaceable in a needle bearing. An actuation lever is set into a slit-like recess in the needle bearing and it is supported with a bearing ball carried at the rear wall of the needle bearing. A stroke transmission bolt set inbetween jet needle and actuation lever in overhung position serves for transmitting the closing force from the actuation lever to the jet needle. Upon opening, the injection pressure pushes the jet needle rearward if the actuation lever is rotated into the open position. In this arrangement a locking spring becomes superfluous and, consequently, no force counter to the spring force must be effected by the injection force.

An electrode which has a high voltage regulation and a coil portion which extends through the inner tubular member forms a grounding electrode. A fluid such as air which is to be enriched with ozone is passed either through the inner tubular member or the space between the two tubular members and a cooling fluid is passed in the other tubular member. The inner tubular member is made of an ultraviolet penetrable and heat resistant material such as quartz glass.
