The system of the present invention provides an exciting and surprising result which is not anticipated by the user, and can be produced in a wide variety of alternate forms and/or configurations.
Abstract: By providing a single housing and shackle assembly constructed for enabling the shackle to be opened and/or closed using either a rotatable dial combination construction or a key activating tumbler construction, with the movement of the shackle being controlled by a trigger member, an effective, easily produced, padlock is achieved which incorporates two separate and independent locking systems formed in a single padlock. In addition, the trigger member and shackle each incorporate uniquely constructed, cooperating surfaces, each of which comprise a grooved zone or concave curved zone which is positioned directly adjacent a cooperating convexly curved zone. By employing these two curved surfaces on both the shackle and trigger member, the controlled pivotal movement of the shackle is realized.
Abstract: A method of determining the radiation doses to which specific locations are subjected is provided. The method comprises providing an assembly comprising a plurality of layers, each of which includes a number of regularly spaced individual compartments that contain a liquid that changes in color when exposed to radiation, radiating the assembly, determining the changes in optical density of the liquid in the individual compartments and calculating the doses of radiation to which the compartments have been subjected from the changes in optical density.
Abstract: By combining a hydrogen peroxide liberating complex with hair coloring dyes, a highly effective hair coloring composition is obtained which comprises a stable dry powder composition which can be stored in a single container. When use is desired, the stable dry powder composition of the present invention is mixed with water, activating the liberation of hydrogen peroxide and allowing the desired hair coloring effect to be achieved. In addition to providing a single stable dry powder formulation, the composition of the present invention is capable of achieving a wide array of shades and coloring effects.

Abstract: By providing a pre-printed promotional system which employs two cooperating panels securely affixed to each other, with each panel being movable between a folded, compacted position and an unfolded, extended position, a unique, hands-on, printed, visually exciting and interest generating advertising/promotional product is attained. In addition, in the preferred construction of the present invention, the promotional system of the present invention is constructed to produce a snapping or cracking sound whenever the promotional system is moved between its two alternate positions. Although the creation or production of a sound is not required, it has been found that the sound produced further enhances consumer surprise and interest.

Abstract: By providing a padlock having a primary shackle and a secondary shackle which is easily employed whenever the primary shackle has been cut, an effective, easily produced, key operated or combination controlled padlock is achieved which enables the padlock to be quickly and easily opened for inspection by security personnel, while also enabling the padlock to be quickly relocked after inspection using a secondary locking shackle. In addition, the secondary locking shackle provides the user with notice that the padlock and suitcase had been opened by security personnel. In accordance with the present invention, the padlock incorporates a housing and a primary shackle which is constructed for being lockingly engaged with the housing, as well as dis-engaged from the housing whenever the padlock is opened.
Abstract: By providing a plurality of cylindrically shaped tube members nested together in coaxially aligned relationship, with each tube member being connected to a separate and independent control segment, with the control segments being constructed for raising and lowering the associated tube segment, an easily produced, reliable, dependable, and highly portable telescopically extendable and retractable multi-element system is realized. In the preferred embodiment, each control segment incorporates a separate endless loop drive belt which is cooperatively associated with a pair of pulleys mounted at opposed ends of the segment. Furthermore, each control segment is interconnected to the endless loop drive belt of an adjacent segment for causing all of the segments to move simultaneously in response to the initial movement of a first control segment.

Abstract: By providing a single house (21) which incorporates an elongated probe (22) receiving zone interconnected to a pump member (55), a plurality of automated valves (51-54), a disinfectant dispensing chamber (20), a water supply (41), and a control system for automatically cycling each of the components to achieve the desired result, a fully automated disinfection system (20) for transesophageal ultrasonic probes is achieved. In accordance with the present invention, a simple, easily employed, convenient, fully integrated system (20) is attained for quickly and easily receiving the transesophageal ultrasonic probe in its entirety, supporting the electronic bearing head portion independently from the disinfection portion, and automatically performing various disinfection and rinse cycles for providing a completely disinfected ultrasonic probe member ready for use.

Abstract: By combining lecithin and oil as the principal ingredients, a highly effective, uniform, widely dispersed, pan release spray product is achieved with the lecithin comprising a de-oiled powdered lecithin. The liquid lecithin and/or combinations thereof is blended with the vegetable oil, water and/or alcohol to form a stable emulsion that exhibits superior pan release properties. Furthermore, the lecithin emulsions of the present invention are easily formulated with a variety of blending agents to make flavorful salad dressings, marinades, and pet flavor enhancing products, as a non-aerosol, finger pump based product or as an aerosol product.
