The first layer is transparent. The third layer can include a contrast coloring agent. The second layer includes foamed unevenly distributed regions arranged to create a camouflage appearance.

Abstract: A combined sample dispenser and merchandising unit product display and related method is provided herein. Included is an elongate tray having a first end and a second end, an upper compartment with open roof for standing a plurality of merchandising unit products each containing a flowable substance, and a lower compartment arranged directly below the upper compartment. A sample dispenser is provided which includes a dispensing unit arranged against the first end of the tray and a reservoir holding sampling amounts of the flowable substance, communicating with the dispensing unit and arranged within the lower compartment.

Abstract: A wipe article is provided for cleansing and providing gentle exfoliation. The article is a water-insoluble substrate laden with a fluid cosmetic composition that includes a skin benefit agent delivered in a carrier. The substrate is a woven or non-woven fibrous web with first and second major surfaces, at least one of the major surfaces having formed thereon an array of projections, the array including from at least 2 to about 20 projections per cm2. Each projection is formed of a material different than that of the substrate and is raised from the substrate at a highest point thereof a distance from 100 to 2,000 micron. The projections are formed of at least 20 microbeads per projection.

Abstract: A cosmetic water-in-oil emulsion composition is provided which includes composite particles of a sunscreen agent and a condensation polymerized polyamide binder, an emulsifying silicone surfactant sufficient to form the water-in-oil emulsion, an oil phase, and a water phase. The composition exhibits relatively high SPF photoprotection while maintaining excellent soft focus properties that hide skin imperfections.

Abstract: Composite particles for providing UV photo protection in cosmetic compositions are reported which include an organic sunscreen agent dispersed within a condensation polymerized resin having carboxylic acid groups and a dielectric constant ranging from 6.5 to 18.

Abstract: A package is provided including a container and a cap attached thereto. The container has an open and a closed end, the former having a dispensing opening surrounded by a shoulder. A pair of first buttresses are molded into the shoulder arranged along a cross-sectional major axis bisecting the opening. A pair of second buttresses are also molded into the shoulder and arranged along a minor axis bisecting the opening. Each of the buttresses have an upper edge tapering downwardly away from the opening. Upper edges of the second buttresses have a steeper taper angle than those of the first buttresses. The cap includes a lid hingedly connected to an edge of a fitment, the latter having a platform surrounded by a skirt wall and a product exit orifice formed in the platform. On a lower surface of the platform are four legs surrounding the orifice, projecting downwardly with each leg being asymmetrically shaped and lockingly fitted between first and second adjacent buttresses.

Abstract: A personal care composition is provided having a fragrance which incorporates limonene, gamma terpinene, ethylene brassylate or combinations thereof in conjunction with a quaternary ammonium salt. The salt has a structure AB, wherein A is a cationic charge component, B is an anionic charge component, and A has one quaternized nitrogen atom, at least two hydroxyl groups and a molecular weight no higher than about 250. The quaternary ammonium salt functions as a scent boosting agent to enhance volatilization of the fragrance components when the personal care composition is first applied to skin or hair of the human body.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition for sunless tanning or imparting glow to skin is herein described. The composition includes from about 0.1 to about 20% by weight of a tanning agent and from 0.1 to 20% by weight of a crosslinked cationic copolymer having a monomer unit which is a methacryloylethyl or acryloylethyl tri(C1-C3 alkyl)ammonium salt. The crosslinked cationic copolymer is a color enhancing agent which improves color intensity and avoids streaking of the developing tan/glow.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition is provided which includes hydrophilic composite particles of an organic sunscreen agent, particles of a crosslinked silicone elastomer, and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The hydrophilic composite particles are formed as a composite of sunscreen agent and binder in a relative weight ratio of about 5:1 to about 1:10. The composition exhibits relatively high SPF photoprotection while maintaining excellent soft focus properties that hide skin imperfections.
