Abstract: A cosmetic composition is provided which includes a crosslinked silicone elastomer, a zinc oxide or zirconium oxide of average particle size less than 300 nm and a light reflecting inorganic material of platelet shaped particles having an average particle size of about 10,000 to about 30,000 nm, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier system. The composition achieves soft focus and radiance properties which improve the appearance of skin. Good coverage over imperfections such as pores and uneven skin tone is achieved while retaining a natural skin appearance.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition is provided which includes from 0.01 to 10% of single-crystal platy barium sulfate, from 0.5 to 10% of a water insoluble powdered acrylic polymer in porous particle form and a carrier. The compositions have soft focus optics imparting radiance to the applied skin area without excessive shininess or opacity and have excellent skinfeel properties.

Abstract: A towelette dispensing carton is provided which includes a deck panel with an elongate through-cut slot, a front panel adjoining the deck panel, a rear panel adjacent the deck panel, a bottom panel flanked on opposite edges by the front and rear panels, and a lid panel partially covering the deck panel. Right and left side panel systems close off ends of the carton. The lid panel features curved and straight sections along a leading edge, the respective sections being formed on opposite sides of a tab projecting from the leading edge, the tab being at a lesser distance (L1) from one of right or left side panel systems than a distance from the other side panel system (L2).
Abstract: A cosmetic composition is provided to achieve a soft focus effect. Imperfections in skin complexion can be hidden. The composition includes a water-insoluble partially hydrated granular starch having an average particle size ranging from about 500 to about 10,000 nm, a spherical alumina having a refractive index from 1.6 to 1.9 and average particle size from about 5 to about 300 nm, an inorganic material in flat, platy form having an average particle size ranging from about 0.1 to about 30 micron and a cosmetically acceptable carrier.
Abstract: A magazine and tube dispensing method is provided. The magazine includes a receiving compartment for temporarily receiving unfilled tubes intended for filling with a flowable product, the compartment being formed with a movable outer rail wall. A gate assembly downstream from the receiving compartment includes a constriction passageway formed between a lateral inner wall and a lateral member wall allowing downward gravity feed of tubes only in a single file. The lateral member wall is movable in a direction toward or away from the lateral inner wall and integrally movable as a member of the outer rail wall, thereby adjusting a cross-sectional dimension of the passageway to accommodate processing of different diameter tubes.
Abstract: A method and composition is provided for managing in-grown hair which involves applying to those areas malonic acid or a salt thereof in a carrier. The method and composition allows for comfortable shaving of skin by minimizing the problem of in-grown hair.

Abstract: A non-woven hydroentangled textile is described formed in cross-section with a central area of low mass fiber density surrounded on both sides by areas of higher mass density. Further, a personal cleansing article is described wherein the hydroentangled textile is associated with a personal cleansing composition that includes a lathering surfactant. The composition is deposited onto, impregnated into or at least is partially enclosed by the textile. Also described is a process for producing the textile involving feeding into a hydroentangling unit a loose random assembly of fibers both above and below a fibrous screen modifying textile substrate.
