Abstract: A towelette product is provided which includes a first water-insoluble substrate having dorsal and ventral surfaces, a second water-insoluble substrate having dorsal and ventral surfaces, the dorsal surfaces of the first and second substrates being joined to one another. A personal care composition is deposited onto an area of the second ventral surface, the first ventral surface having a dry-to-the-touch feel, the second ventral surface on the deposit area having a non-dry-to-the-touch feel, the first ventral surface having a FTV of not higher than 0.1 grams.

Abstract: A device for treating fabrics in a tumble dryer comprising: a reservoir (6) for storing a fabric treatment composition and transfer means (300) to expose fabric treatment composition from the reservoir to airflow generated inside the tumble dryer and/or to directly contact fabrics in the dryer, thereby transferring a portion of the fabric treatment composition into contact with fabrics in the tumble dryer during a tumble drying cycle; characterised in the provision of reservoir charging means (301) comprising one or more charging conduits (60) for directing fabric treatment composition to one or more regions of the transfer means.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for dispensing a unit dose water-soluble pouch containing a laundry additive during the spin cycle of a washing machine process having a spinning wash drum. The device is attached to the vertical center post of a washing machine and holds a water-soluble pouch above the high water level. During the spin cycle, the spinning center post will create sufficient centrifugal force so that the water-soluble pouch is released from the device. The water-soluble pouch will then fall into the laundry where the water-soluble pouch will dissolve when rinse water fills the machine thereby releasing the laundry additive to treat the washed articles.

Abstract: A package is provided with usefulness particularly for dispensing of towelettes. The package is constructed as a unitarily formed tub including a floor panel, a pair of opposite side panels, first and second end panels opposite one another and separating the side panels, the first and second end panels having different curvature one from another. An open mouth is formed opposite the floor panel. An outwardly projecting lip at least partially surrounds the open mouth. A cover is arranged over the open mouth and sealed against the lip. The package is capable of standing erect via support contact between a portion of the second end panel and a section of the lip. Graphics are printed on the cover. The asymmetric arrangement of the end panels and adjacent sections of the lip allow the package to stand erect preferentially on one of the end panels thereby orienting right-side up the graphics of the cover.

The conjugated linoleic acid functions to improve radiance on facial surfaces to which the composition is topically applied.

Abstract: A personal care product is provided which includes a package filed with a personal care composition and instructions printed on or associated with the package indicating topical use of the composition on skin for purposes of controlling the signs of aging. The composition includes a quaternary ammonium compound selected from (a) salts of hydroxypropyltri(C1–C3 alkyl)ammonium mono-substituted mono-saccharide; (b) salts of hydroxypropyltri(C1–C3 alkyl)ammonium mono-substituted polyols, the salts having a cation of an average molecular weight no higher than about 450 and the salt having a Tg no higher than about 10° C.; (c) dihydroxypropyltri(C1–C3 alkyl)ammonium salts; (d) chlorohydroxypropyltri(C1–C3 alkyl)ammonium salts; and (e) mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A cosmetic water-in-oil composition is provided which includes a water-in-oil emulsifying silicone surfactant, an ultrafine titanium dioxide and conjugated linoleic acid. The presence of conjugated linoleic acid stabilizes the composition against color degradation and also maintains an approximately steady viscosity.

The conjugated linoleic acid functions to moderate shine on facial surfaces to which the organic sunscreen agent formulated composition is topically applied.

Abstract: A substantially dry personal care cleansing article is provided which includes a water-insoluble substrate and associated with the substrate a personal care cleansing composition. The latter includes at least one lathering surfactant and at least about 2% of a cationic polymer. The composition has an average particle size ranging from about 75 to about 900 micron. The cationic polymer improves the rapidity and duration of foam formation when the article is wetted with water to activate the surfactant.

Abstract: A disposable personal care cleansing article is provided having a cleansing composition adjacent to a water insoluble substrate formed of a fibrous web. A plurality of slits having a length ranging from about 6 to 40 mm are cut into the web. The slits allow the article to expand when a consumer applies the article to cleanse the body under a flow of water.
