Abstract: A Christmas ornament with selectable illuminating means comprises movable parts and an illumination system which changes color. The apparatus is illuminated with an RGB LED light string which changes color automatically. The color change operation is governed by a self-mounted PIC microcontroller with a customized programming, which directs the microcontroller to change the color of the RGB light string across a broad range of discrete colors. The color change can be controlled as a gradual transition and could be manually controlled to allow lights to remain a particular color as desired. The apparatus is powered by AC power and has a weatherproof construction to allow for outdoor use.
Abstract: A kit comprising various devices for supplying condiments thereto foodstuffs and stored therein a case is herein disclosed. The kit incorporates interchangeable brushes similar to a basting brush that threadably engages a squeezable condiment bottle containing catsup, mustard, barbecue sauce, glazes and the like. Unlike existing packaging, the condiments travel by squeeze pressure through a bottle opening, through a hollow handle, and subsequently onto bristles of an attached brush for application. The brush has a sanitary cover for storage and also comprises additional interchangeable cooking implements, such as, but not limited to flow tips and extension pieces.
Abstract: A teaching aid device that helps baseball players learn how to properly swing and hit a ball includes a pair of batting tees placed in a linear pattern parallel to the bat swing. The batter contacts one ball and then the other during one swing. With balls on both tees and the tees at the same height, the hitter is aligned to hit the back or rear baseball up the middle. By hitting the rear ball, and then extending through contact and hitting the front ball, the hitter teaches him or herself to “get extension” through the baseball. If the hitter does not hit the front ball squarely, the device will indicate that he or she does not “follow through”. If the hitter hits the back ball only, this device provides instant feedback that the swing is not level.
Abstract: An insulated cooler with two (2) separate independent storage compartments and lids allowing for compartmentalized transportation and storage of items is herein disclosed. The separate compartments eliminate possible cross-contamination as well as provide different thermal conditioning of the contents. The compartments are completely independent of each other having an interior divider wall extending completely through the body of the cooler and continuing into a lid area, thereby sealing independent compartments. Additionally, each compartment is also provided with a draining means.
Abstract: An insect trap comprising a transparent tube coated on an exterior surface with a tacky adhesive is placed where insects typically travel. When the insects crawl over the tube, they become ensnarled and stuck in the adhesive. The trap is preferably available in a kit comprising a variable quantity of tubes in a housing and a means to customize the length of tubes.
Abstract: An infant chair designed to attach and secure to the rear of a seat functions as a conventional baby seat and has a soft fabric-based seat. The chair comprises a pair of adjustable handles that extend over the seating surface. The base of the chair also comprises a pair of adjustable legs to support the seat against the back cushion portion of the seat. The handles allow the infant chair to be placed upon a seat more safely than existing models. To make the chair more appealing to the infant, the chair comprises an animal motif with the handles being the upper arms of an animal and the lower base supports being the legs of an animal. The chair further has an integral vibrating mechanism and permanently attached toys to help amuse the infant while in the chair.
Abstract: A retractable license plate bracket for a motor vehicle is herein disclosed, comprising a means for a license plate to fold down under the motor vehicle. In this manner, sport cars, show cars, cars with low ground clearance and similar motor vehicles can display license plates for motoring purposes on the road, yet allow the license plate to essentially disappear when at shows or for aesthetic purposes.
Abstract: An improved process to reduce emissions converts carbon dioxide from the flue gas exhaust from heat or power generators, into synthetic gas which is in-turn reintroduced back into the generator as fuel, is herein disclosed. Hot flue and exhaust gases from power generators, which contain carbon dioxide, would be blown into a gasification reactor, which contains coal, wood chips or other carbon based fuels substances. The process utilizes gasification technology to create a thermochemical reaction between the carbon dioxide and the fuel via a high temperature and no-oxygen atmosphere to produce synthetic gas. The synthetic gas includes carbon monoxide and hydrogen which is then fed back into a heat or power generator as fuel. The process may include two (2) or more reactors, thereby allowing one (1) reactor to be loaded or unloaded while synthetic gas continues to be produced by the other reactor. The synthetic gas may also be further converted into vehicle fuels and other useful chemicals.
Abstract: A pen/highlighter having an integral retractable tethered bookmark comprising a double-ended writing instrument having a ball point pen at a first end and a highlighter at a second end is disposable and replaceable, thereby allowing a user to refill the device with common refills comprising different color inks. A pen cap portion comprises a tethered interchangeable bookmark depicting such items as a charm, a school or corporate logo, a sports team logo, an entertainment or musical icon, among others. A thin retractable cord connects the bookmark to the device providing a retracting mechanism within the pen cap. An internal locking device secures the bookmark at a maximum extended length as well as variable partial lengths. In such a manner, the cord can be used to mark a page in a book while the bookmark hangs out of a bottom portion of said book.
Abstract: An emergency safety jacket equipped with a rear ejecting parachute to protect an operator against forward accidental impact when riding a motorcycle-type vehicle is herein disclosed. The safety jacket comprises a back-mounted parachute being manually activated and ejected rearward using a propelling device, thereby removing the operator off the rear of the vehicle. The safety jacket also comprises a padded long-sleeve design with an outer shell which provides enhancements to protect the operator from impact, abrasion, and fire. The emergency safety jacket is specifically envisioned for use with motorcycle and scooter type vehicles.
Abstract: An integral display for a child's pacifier indicates whether it is clean and safe for the child's use. The pacifier has a selectable dial on its exterior rear face that allows the care-giver to select between “CLEAN” or “DIRTY”, depending on the status of the pacifier. Once the pacifier is properly cleaned, the care-giver would slide the indicator to display “CLEAN”. In such a manner, the care-giver would always be aware of the cleanliness of the pacifier and whether it would be safe to give to the child.
Abstract: A removable handrail system for recreational vehicles and similar vehicles is herein disclosed, located and installed along side steps of said vehicles and used to access the door or other similar location. It is intended for use on motor homes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, truck campers and virtually any vehicle which utilizes one (1) or more steps for access and comprises a hitch-like receiver assembly that mounts on the side of the step assembly directly underneath the door or upper platform. The handrail slides into the receiver and is secured via a locking bolt. The handrail is adjustable to compensate for varying grades. When fully installed, the device is supported at two (2) points and forms a very stable handrail for entering and exiting the vehicle. It is quickly installed and removed with a minimum of tools and can be stored in a narrow storage compartment when not in use.
