  • Patent number: 8262243
Abstract: A Christmas ornament with selectable illuminating means comprises movable parts and an illumination system which changes color. The apparatus is illuminated with an RGB LED light string which changes color automatically. The color change operation is governed by a self-mounted PIC microcontroller with a customized programming, which directs the microcontroller to change the color of the RGB light string across a broad range of discrete colors. The color change can be controlled as a gradual transition and could be manually controlled to allow lights to remain a particular color as desired. The apparatus is powered by AC power and has a weatherproof construction to allow for outdoor use.

  • Patent number: 8257202
Abstract: A teaching aid device that helps baseball players learn how to properly swing and hit a ball includes a pair of batting tees placed in a linear pattern parallel to the bat swing. The batter contacts one ball and then the other during one swing. With balls on both tees and the tees at the same height, the hitter is aligned to hit the back or rear baseball up the middle. By hitting the rear ball, and then extending through contact and hitting the front ball, the hitter teaches him or herself to “get extension” through the baseball. If the hitter does not hit the front ball squarely, the device will indicate that he or she does not “follow through”. If the hitter hits the back ball only, this device provides instant feedback that the swing is not level.

  • Patent number: 8246700
Abstract: An improved process to reduce emissions converts carbon dioxide from the flue gas exhaust from heat or power generators, into synthetic gas which is in-turn reintroduced back into the generator as fuel, is herein disclosed. Hot flue and exhaust gases from power generators, which contain carbon dioxide, would be blown into a gasification reactor, which contains coal, wood chips or other carbon based fuels substances. The process utilizes gasification technology to create a thermochemical reaction between the carbon dioxide and the fuel via a high temperature and no-oxygen atmosphere to produce synthetic gas. The synthetic gas includes carbon monoxide and hydrogen which is then fed back into a heat or power generator as fuel. The process may include two (2) or more reactors, thereby allowing one (1) reactor to be loaded or unloaded while synthetic gas continues to be produced by the other reactor. The synthetic gas may also be further converted into vehicle fuels and other useful chemicals.
