  • Patent number: 8152052
Abstract: A multiple punch and multiple die assembly has a workpiece protector as a punch lifter that is operatively associated with each punch for supporting each of the punches in an inactive position as an active punch is moved by the ram to the active, i.e. operating position to thereby eliminate scoring or marking of the sheet material or other workpiece that is being punched. To eliminate the need for hand tools and hand assembly or disassembly, a manually moveable retainer on the punch assembly is provided that can be moved by hand between a punch-releasing and punch-retaining position for holding the punches within the multi-punch assembly during operation. To prevent stress fractures that formerly occurred in die carriers, support of each die is distributed between two different die components thereby reducing impact stress on the carrier as the ram drives the punch through the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 8153490
Abstract: A fabrication method of a power semiconductor structure with reduced gate impedance is provided. Firstly, a polysilicon gate is formed in a substrate. Then, dopants are implanted into the substrate with the substrate being partially shielded by the polysilicon gate. Afterward, an isolation layer is formed to cover the polysilicon gate. Thereafter, a thermal drive-in process is carried out to form at least a body surrounding the polysilicon gate. Then, the isolation layer is removed to expose the polysilicon gate. Afterward, a metal layer is deposited on the dielectric layer and the polysilicon gate, and a self-aligned silicide layer is formed on the polysilicon gate by using a thermal process.

  • Patent number: 8146207
Abstract: A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device and has a first actuating unit, a pivoting limit and a second actuating unit. The first actuating unit has two tops. The pivoting limit is mounted pivotally between the stops. The second actuating unit selectively abuts a first side and a second side of the pivoting limit. When the second actuating unit abuts one of the sides of the pivoting limit to pivot the pivoting limit, one of the sides of the pivoting limit abuts one of the stops to limit the rotating angle. With the pivot of the pivoting limit, the rotating angle is increased. Therefore, the cover of the electronic device is fully rotatable by 180 degrees in either direction, and the hinge still provides limiting function to protect inner wires.

  • Patent number: 8115370
Abstract: A bending LED bulb has a transparent bending tube and a flexible LED strip. The flexible LED strip has a flexible printed circuit board (PCB) and a plurality of LEDs mounted on the flexible PCB and is inserted and fixed in the transparent bending tube. As the LEDs are sequentially mounted on the flexible PCB, the LEDs are adjacent to a wall of the transparent bending tube, and are equally spaced. Accordingly, a lumen value of the bending LED bulb can be raised, and heat generated by the LEDs can be dissipated out through the wall of the transparent bending tube to avoid high temperature arising from accumulation of the waste heat.

  • Patent number: 8109893
Abstract: A patient wearable, continuously operating extracorporeal pump apparatus which accesses the patient's arterial venous pressure differential by applying external pressure to a subcutaneous graft that has been cannualized to modulate blood flow through an extracorporeal circuit and to drive the pump for delivering a medicament, such as an anticoagulant, to the site of an intravenous cannula to prevent clogging thereof and also to move a dialysate through a circuit, including a dialyzer and a dialysate rejuvenating cartridge, whereby kidney failure can be treated without recourse to prior art hemodialysis machines found in most treatment facilities. With slight modification, the present invention can be used to remove excess fluids from CHF patients, to remove toxins from the blood in those suffering from liver failure and to facilitate administration of insulin to diabetics and/or glucose to those having hypoglycemia.

  • Patent number: 8110081
Abstract: A method for improving the performance of a galvanic fuel cell type oxygen sensor comprises providing a pressure equalization port leading to the interior of an inner core housing that contains the membrane, the electrolyte and the anode and cathode electrodes and hermetically sealing the sensor housing except for its sample inlet port and its sample outlet port. By connecting the same vacuum source to both the pressure equalization port and the sample outlet port, the device's membrane is less subject to movement or rupture as gas samples are drawn in via the sample inlet port. A technique for ensuring a hermetic seal is also described.

  • Patent number: 8111405
Abstract: An automatic scan and mark apparatus has a machine tool, a location detection module, a laser detector, an ink jet and a control computer. The machine tool has a movable module and a stage. The stage mounts and holds a specimen having a scraped surface. The control computer controls the location detection module to determine a position of the movable module, controls the laser detector to detect a surface morphology of the scraped surface in a measurement range, and activates the ink jet to eject inks on high points of the scraped surface of the specimen. Thus, the surface morphology is built automatically and high points are screened out and marked by colored ink. Manufacturer may easily redo scraping of determined high points based on the marked location on the specimen without burdensome measurement.
