    Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a closely spaced radial array of overlapping twisted airfoil blades or vanes. The apparatus comprises an electro-discharge machine that articulates an electrode (150), electrode (150) being in the form of an elongate and substantially rigid (non-wire) curved element which is turned by a tool holder (130) as it is advanced on a helical path. As the electrode (150) is advanced toward the edge surface of the blank it forms the inner surface of each airfoil blade with its outer curve, and forms the outer surface of each airfoil blade with its inner curve. As the electrode (150) is advanced through the blank it is twisted to give the first groove a helical form, thereby forming a twisted airfoil blade.

    Abstract: A tamper-evident container with pour-out container fitment for frictional engagement within the cylindrical neck of a container to control and meter the flow of liquids out of the container. The fitment includes a top flange sufficient to cover the mouth of the container and a coaxial cylindrical insert extending from the top flange into the neck. The fitment is held into the neck by friction and a ring extends from the insert for enhanced frictional engagement. Apertures are provided in the insert to allow fluid to pass into the interior of the insert, and channels are provided along the walls of the interior from the apertures to the top flange to guide the liquid from the apertures to the flange.

    Abstract: A novel combination of OPA, a surfactant, and alcohol. The surfactant is preferably a dual chain quaternary ammonium compound consisting of a mixture of alkyl dimethylbenzylammonium chlorides and alkyl dimethylethylbenzylammonium, that absorbs onto a surface and alters the free energy of that surface. The alcohol is preferably isopropyl alcohol. The OPA is the dialdehyde C6H4(CHO)2, which produces an inherent bacteriostatic effect and lowers surface tension and thus aids in the spread of the dual quat on the biofilm covered surface where it is readily absorbed by the negative surfaces of proteins and bacteria. It thus serves as a binding agent between the dual quat and the application surface. This multi purpose component helps create the unique aspect of the formulation.

    Abstract: A temporary diagnostic prosthetic socket mounting system and kit including a generally circular test mounting block defined by an annular groove and four axial cutouts extending from the lower surface of the block to the upper surface. The axial cutouts are at least as deep as the annular groove. A band extending around the perimeter of the block is provided which spans the axial cutouts, thereby forming a void in the cutouts beneath the tape. The block is secured to a prosthetic diagnostic socket by adhesive with the band extending up over the upper edge of the block and onto the outer surface of the socket. Casting tape is applied over the socket/block joint extending into the groove. After diagnostic fitting and transfer of the alignment, a cast saw can be passed around the joint through the casting tape and into the adhesive between the upper surface of the block and the rounded distal end of the socket.

The voting terminal is seated atop a bottom shelf of the voting terminal housing at waist-level for easy wheelchair voter access thereto. The voting terminal is restrained against lateral and vertical motion, and yet there is full access to the voting terminal's control panels, doors, etc. Moreover, the particular design maximizes strength and usability, and yet keeps weight to a minimum with a framework that is as light weight as possible.

    Abstract: The present invention is a wall-mounted toothbrush carousel that stores one or more electric and/or standard toothbrushes in a convenient rotary dispenser. The rotary dispenser comprises a top-mounted knob atop a clover-shaped disc, the disc being connected to a stem in a spindle-type manner. The bottom of the stem is connected to a concave base. In some embodiments, the concavity of the base collects and contains runoff. In other embodiments, the base may be defined by one or more drain holes to allow drainage of the residue. The stem offsets the disc from the base. The disc is four-leaf-clover-shaped and defined by alternate apertures (for holding standard and electric toothbrushes) and U-shaped recesses for holding electric toothbrushes. The spindle-type holder revolves around and holds one or more electric toothbrushes as well as standard toothbrushes in queued positions.

Whole kernel corn (or other feed) placed in a feed bin (30) is dispensed into a trough/receptacle (20) through an opening at the bottom of the bin. The trough/receptacle (20) is surrounded by pesticide applicators (40) such that as an animal feeds, some part of its head, neck and/or ears will contact one or more of the applicators. The applicators (40) are flexible and rotatable, so that animals attracted to the apparatus to feed are subjected to the application of a pesticide upon their head, neck, ears, and/or, where applicable, antlers or horns, the flexible and rotatable applicators (40) maximizing pesticide application with minimal stress to both the animal and device.

    Abstract: The present invention describes IV regulators that allow interruption of normal controlled-flow for a safe and convenient bolus flush, either for a specific period of time or for a specific volume of saline flush. Two time-controlled IV regulators are shown, one employing a pneumatic cylinder counter-opposed by elastic band(s) for administering a bolus flush, and one employing a compressible lever and torsion spring counter-opposed by a rotary damper. In both cases the mechanisms disengage the roller-clamp from the IV tube for a predetermined amount of time to fully open fluid flow there through for a bolus flush before return to the regulated-flow position. The volume-controlled flow regulator employs two internal bladders and allows one bladder to fill while the other bladder drains (and vice versa) by flipping a slider paddle-type toggle, thus enabling the administration of a set volume of flush fluid.
