  • Patent number: 7154922
Abstract: Information of oscillation frequency of a laser beam source in a predetermined range including usable oscillation frequency that takes into consideration an output quality of the laser beam source, such as information on a relationship between oscillation frequency and output quality, is stored in a memory. Then, when the laser beam source is controlled, based on the information stored in the memory, a particular frequency range where the output quality of the laser beam source deteriorates or becomes good is specified, and a decision is made whether or not oscillation frequency f, which is going be used, is within the particular frequency range. Then, according to the results, the oscillation frequency is set, avoiding a frequency range where the output quality deteriorates or within a frequency range where the output quality becomes good according to the result. Thus, a laser beam source whose output quality is always good can be used.

  • Patent number: 7028795
Abstract: In a hybrid vehicle with fuel cells and an engine mounted thereon as energy output sources, the technique of the present invention adequately changes a working energy output source according to a driving state of the hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle has the engine and a motor, both enabling power to be output to an axle. The hybrid vehicle also has fuel cells as a main electric power supply for driving the motor. The technique of the present invention changes the working energy output source between the fuel cells and the engine, in order to reduce the output of the fuel cells with consumption of a fuel for the fuel cells. With a decrease in remaining quantity of the fuel, the technique narrows a specific driving range, in which the motor is used as the power source. The technique also causes the engine to drive the motor as a generator and charges a battery not with electric power of the fuel cells but with electric power generated by the motor.

  • Patent number: 6580869
Abstract: Upon playback of stream data which is recorded while being appended with time stamp information in units of packets, time management is made using the time stamp information. A video playback time viewed from the user, which may be indicated by I-, B-, and P-picture display times, is different from the time of the time stamp information. For this reason, when time management for the stream data recorded on an information storage medium is made using only the time stamp information, display time control (video playback time control) for the user cannot be accurately done. In this invention, a time relationship table indicating the relationship between the time stamp information recorded in stream data at each I-picture start time position and display time information (PTS or field information) for the user is provided to a portion of management information.

  • Patent number: 6461800
Abstract: A resist patterning method allows further fine patterning of semiconductor integrated circuits. First, a resist is formed on an underlying layer (1). The resist is selectively exposed, whereby an exposed portion and an unexposed portion are formed. Then, development processing of the resist is performed using a developing solution. In the development process, the resist in the exposed portion is removed at a first velocity and then the resist in the unexposed portion is removed at a second velocity lower than the first velocity, to thereby form a resist pattern (2).

  • Patent number: 6201206
Abstract: A plate-shaped jig (9) is fixed between a fixed-side electrode (5) and a moving-side electrode (6). The end of an arm is set to move by an external force in the direction the moving-side electrode (6) moves, and then the moving-side electrode (6) is moved toward the jig (9) and pressed against the jig (9) by such a force that the end of the arm is pushed up by a counterforce, the position of a robot in a tool coordinates system and the position of a gun-axis servomotor (7) are acquired as reference positions when the jig (9) is held between the moving-side electrode (6) and the fixed-side electrode (5) to release the holding of the fixed jig (9) with pressure. Thereafter, similarly , the position of the robot and the position of the gun-axis servomotor (7) are acquired to calculate the wear amount of the fixed-side electrode (5) and the moving-side electrode (6) from the respective differences from the reference positions.
