Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for the detachable locking of a line (2) which is led out through an opening in, for example, a mast (55) on a sailing boat (6) in question and for enabling the line (2) to be led further to an existing winch on board. In accordance with the invention, a tension release device (1A) and a ferrule (1B) for the line (2) are formed by a common component. Abstract: A sealing apparatus 20 is provided with an annular elastic member 21 and a reinforcing member 23 to which the elastic member 21 is securely fixed, and is attached to an annular stepped portion 12b of a cylindrical member 12. Abstract: The present invention relates to a surgical instrument to be used in certain endoscopic surgical operations, such as laparoscopic surgery, in order to fix, enclose, and extract a specimen, such as an organ or tissue. The device in accordance with the invention comprises a shank part and an entrapment part mounted on one end of the shank part. The characteristic features of the invention are that the entrapment part is provided with at least one opening for insertion of the specimen, such as an organ or tissue, said opening being expandable to an open condition and contractible to an at least partly closed condition, and in that assumes a fusiform configuration, at least when the opening is in its closed condition.
Abstract: A printer capable of operation with linered and/or liner-less media. Powder coated media surfaces, a silicone platen roller and tear-off blade are either designed into the media path or retrofitted into a linered media capable printer. To remove the requirement for realignment between the media path extrusion and the print head a media path extrusion cover designed to snap on to the media path extrusion is utilized.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement (1) for a cleaning machine (2) comprising a number of electrically powered rotating disks (3,4) which carry a brush (5) and a hand-held shaft (6) with a fluid supply line (7) for the supply of cleaning fluid (43) to the aforementioned discs (3-4). Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus for friction stir welding, comprising a welding unit including a welding head, a worktable including a backing unit to support the workpieces to be welded together along their joint line, and clamping means to clamp the workpieces to the worktable in a direction towards one another during the welding operation. The backing unit consists of at least two backing parts or of at least one backing part and one additional welding head, said backing parts being freely exchangeable, one for the other, before each welding operation as is also each backing part freely exchangeable for the additional welding head, and vice versa.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting cancer on skin of humans and mammals by picturing spectroscopy. The method includes that delta aminolevulimic acid ALA is applied on the skin on that area where cancer is suspected to be present, the substance is removed after 1 to 24 hours, and the area is illumiated with light having a wave-length of 330-440 nm and the fluorescent irradiation which arises is registered and evaluated, which radiation has a wave-length 610-715 nm. The invention also includes an arrangement for performing the method.
