  • Patent number: 6770957
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive with which voids are less likely to occur and adherends are not curved. Adhesives of the present invention have excellent dispensability from nozzles of dispensers because the overall specific gravity of the adhesives is adjusted to 1.4 or more and 4.0 or less by adding a filler having a specific gravity of 3.0 or more and 9.0 or less. A highly reliable electric device 1 can be obtained because no voids are generated in an adhesive 12 or an adherend or a flexible wiring board 5 is not curved when the flexible wiring board and a semiconductor chip 11 are connected.

  • Patent number: 6737729
Abstract: A semiconductor device is provided that simplifies wiring pattern and is capable of being etched through an etching hole as a concavity is produced over a short time period. A dielectric film 12 is formed so as to shield the concavity formed upon the upper surface of a silicon substrate 10. A circuit pattern that has a thermoelectric conversion element 18 is formed upon the dielectric film. The upper surface of the silicon wafer becomes a (100) surface, and a first etching hole 16 extending in the <110> direction of the silicon substrate and a second etching hole 17 extending in the <−110> direction are formed. These holes intersect in a cross shape. Shapes of the first and second etching holes become parallelograms which have oblique sides tilted with respect to <110> and <−110>. Imaginary rectangles passing though the vertices of the first and second etching holes are continuous.

  • Patent number: 6737844
Abstract: A modulation circuit arranged to modulate a first voltage from a first power supply grid to produce a desired second voltage not greater than the first voltage on a second power supply grid is provided. A digital register is operatively connected to the modulation circuit to determine the desired second voltage on the second power supply grid. Furthermore, the digital register maintains a value representative of an activity level or an anticipated activity level of a circuit connected to the second power supply grid. The modulation circuit maintains the desired second voltage for the circuit connected to the second power supply grid by transferring charge between capacitances.

  • Patent number: 6734716
Abstract: A SSTL memory interface pre-driver stage that uses a voltage regulator to generate a ‘virtual’ supply is provided. The ‘virtual’ supply, being lower than a power supply voltage of the pre-driver stage, allows low voltage transistors to be used, thereby improving interface performance and decreasing system power consumption. The pre-driver stage uses a biasing circuit to bias the voltage regulator, formed by a transistor arranged in a source follower configuration, to generate the ‘virtual’ supply off which a voltage translator stage of the pre-driver stage operates to generate an output of the pre-driver stage.
