Abstract: A standard ceiling recessed lighting fixture can be modified to a low-slung AC or DC light fixture with a screw-in extension rod. The extension rod with bulb can be used to light a restaurant table or a pool table or a workbench and the like. A series of extension rods can be screwed together for a desired length. Rigid and flexible extension rods are disclosed. A dome light and ceiling fan mounting bracket for a recessed lighting fixture are disclosed.
Abstract: A bulk materials bin is able to contain heavy landscape materials such as gravel. A base has a box shape with an open front along a long side. U shaped side panels nest inside the base for transport. In the extended mode some or all of the side panels are lifted from the base to a desired depth of the bin. Bolts secure the side panels together. Side struts prevent bowing and slipping of bins. A retractable ramp allows front loader to enter the bin for loading/unloading. A lifting bar provides loading/unloading of bins and can lock into place to provide secure storage area for equipment.
Abstract: A two piece plastic paint can hook has a transverse bracket with an integral downward pointing bucket hook. A channel in the transverse bracket accepts a tip of a plastic rung hook. The rung hook is assembled through the channel, thus setting a stem of the rung hook in a pivoting mount in the transverse channel. The devise is suited to hang a paint can from either the left or the right side of a ladder rung.
Abstract: Aluminum coils of pre-printed metal are pre-cut to lengths and angles to fit a wooden door jamb. Then, a rolling machine accepts a chosen width of sheet metal and rolls out a cladding strip. The strips require only a minimal manual bend of an end tab. The strips can be packaged in the wooden door jamb for field installation onto the wooden door jamb.
Abstract: Aluminum pop-top can holes are re-sealed with several embodiments of plugs or tape. The wedge type is shoved into the teardrop can hole, or any other shaped can hole. The foot (shoulder) profile type has a triple sealing surface, whereby the user angles a foot or shoulder of a plug under the can lid. These types can be massive or hollow. The hollow type can have a mini double-acting valve for pumping function. A flexible (plastic) tape and glue version is shown, useful also as a primary sealing means.
Abstract: The current invention is intended to be installed in revenue service railroad tracks to detect railroad cars exhibiting wheel set lateral instability. The invention utilizes an array of inductive proximity sensors mounted at regular intervals in a section of railroad track. Each proximity sensor is oriented to sense the lateral position of railroad car wheel sets. The invention employs a computer algorithm to extrapolate the trajectory from the set of proximity sensor signals for each wheel set. A second algorithm evaluates the shape of the trajectory to detect oscillating lateral motion of the wheel set. A third algorithm assesses the severity of any wheel set lateral oscillations that are detected. An additional function of the invention is to detect railroad car trucks that exhibit “tracking errors”.

Abstract: A template allows a piping system installer to create a pipe fitting outline without requiring the installer to consult a manufacturer's catalog and without requiring the installer to plot dimensions with a measuring instrument. The template comprises marking holes corresponding to key locations of one or more pipe fittings. The installer marks the outline through template marking holes using a piece of chalk or other marking instrument. The installer removes the template and is left with an outline on the structure's surface comprising the pipe fitting's key locations. A set of fifty templates could cover almost all the needs of most installers with hundreds of different fitting dimensions covered in a set of fifty templates.
Abstract: A rough-in bracket is provided consisting of a border with a central opening sized to fit one or more receptacles and one or more low voltage units. The bracket has a snap-off alignment bar to properly align the receptacle. Rearward protruding wiring flanges provides support for low voltage wires and cabling. Another embodiment has a removable via plastic nubs alignment tool snapped on and is snapped into the mounted receptacle to allow the border to be screwed into the stud. Then the alignment tool is removed. Screw in bases in the forward flange of the border provide a mount for a low voltage unit, whereby a single plastic cover can esthetically cover both the receptacle and the low voltage unit.
Abstract: A hitch support system for relieving a portion of the weight placed upon a rear end of a vehicle. The hitch support system includes a connecting structure for connecting to a hitch unit of a vehicle and for receiving a receiver, a vertical member adjustably connected to the connecting structure, and a wheel rotatably connected to a lower end of the vertical member. When the connecting structure is connected to the hitch unit of a vehicle, the wheel supports the extra weight of the vehicle or the extra weight of a trailer attached to the receiver.
Abstract: A method and system for assisting a user in maintaining a predetermined pace along a track with a specific predetermined end goal. The preferred embodiment uses a PDA or similar device to allow a user set a specific course goal and to enter (or download) a previous profile pace target along with checkpoint data for a specified track, detecting start/stop and checkpoints along a course, normalizing the user time at each checkpoint and providing wireless speech ‘behind/ahead’ feedback (either time or energy) to a user at each checkpoint along a specified track. The present invention may provide the user with a variable pace along a track or course utilizing upcoming terrain, percentage of work completed and/or user power profiles and may normalize a user goal to other competitors having faster or slower track times.
Abstract: A pair of wires are coated in a conductive plastic sheath, and then imbedded in the inside of a plastic tube. The tube can be dropped down an oil well casing below the fluid level. A DC power source is applied across the wires, and current flows across the inside of the tube between the wires. The resistance drops between the wires in proportion to the fluid level inside the tube. Ohm's law allows a calculation of fluid level along the tube.
Abstract: Heavy saddles can be loaded at waist height onto a vertical array of saddle racks. The vertical array is mounted on a central post containing a powered gear which lifts in sequence first the uppermost saddle rack and then each one below. A trailer model provides a swing out chassis for the central post with a load position and a storage position. A non-pivoting embodiment is shown. A retail store tree style lift rack is also shown as is a harness rack version.
