  • Patent number: 5029028
Abstract: A tape player which is reduced in number of parts to permit the space on a head base to be utilized effectively and easy to assemble. The tape player comprises a pinch roller shaft secured to a head base, and a torsion coil spring interposed between the head base and a slide base for urging the head base toward a reel base. When the slide base is moved toward the reel base, the head base is moved in the same direction by way of the torsion coil spring. When the slide base is further moved after stopping of the head base with the pinch roller contacted with a capstan, the torsion coil spring is compressed thereby to resiliently contact the pinch roller with the capstan with a tape held therebetween. The slide base has first and second guide elements formed thereon. The first guide element is fitted in a first guide slot formed in the head base to guide the head base for sliding movement on the slide base.

  • Patent number: 5021614
Abstract: A power seat switch device for adjusting a seat position having a single operating knob, a sliding member cooperatively connected to the operating knob, and three lever switches adapted to be selectively operated by the motion of the sliding member. When the common operating knob is moved in one of two opposite directions, the first switch is operated to move the seat to the front and to the rear. On the other hand, when the operating knob is rotated at one end, the sliding member is pivoted about the third switch, thereby operating the second switch. As a result, the height of the front portion of the seat is adjusted. In contrast, when the operating knob is rotated at its other end, the sliding member is pivoted about the second switch, thereby operating the third switch. As a result, the height of the rear portion of the seat is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5007783
Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic carrier system having one or more self-propelled robotic carriers for carrying products-in-assembly between assembly stations of an automated assembly line. The running speed and stopping position of individual carriers is controlled by command indicators. The carriers are capable of stopping within a small distance of a desired position relative to an assembly station. Each carrier supports a pallet upon which is slidably disposed a subpallet. Each assembly station has a robotic arm upon which is located a positioning member and an assembling tool. Accurate positioning of product-in-assembly is effected by lowering the positioning member, which comprises two cylinders with tapered openings, over a pair of positioning projections mounted on the slidable subpallets. As the positioning projections slide within the tapered opening of the positioning member cylinders, the sloped surface of the tapered opening causes the positioning projections to move toward the center of the cylinders.
