  • Patent number: 7326506
Abstract: Improved organophotoreceptor comprises an electrically conductive substrate and a photoconductive element on the electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive element comprising: (a) a charge transport material having the formula where Z1 and Z2 comprise, each independently, a bond, a vinyl group, a —CR1?N—NR2— group, or a —CR3?N—N?CR4— group; Y1 and Y2 comprise, each independently, an aromatic group; X1 and X2 are, each independently, a linking group; W1 and W2 are, each independently, a —(CH2)n— group or a —(CH2)n-1—C(?O)— group, where n is an integer between 1 and 10, inclusive; Q1 and Q2 are, each independently, O, S, or NR; and R1, R2, R3, R4, R, R?, and R? comprise, each independently, H, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an acyl group, a heterocyclic group, or an aromatic group; and (b) a charge generating compound. Corresponding electrophotographic apparatuses and imaging methods are described.

  • Patent number: 7119698
Abstract: The leak detection system encompasses the use of a fluid monitoring device equipped with transmission capabilities and a data acquisition device. The fluid monitoring device monitors consumption of a fluid over a predetermined time period to obtain a consumption value. The fluid monitoring device then compares the consumption value against a pre-established threshold value. If the consumption value is less than the threshold value, the fluid monitoring device produces a leak indication. The fluid monitoring device transmits the leak indication, which is received by the data acquisition device.

  • Patent number: 6886507
Abstract: An exhaust valve for a two-cycle engine. The exhaust valve includes a valve body and an actuator. The valve body, in turn, includes a valve insert and a shaft extending from the valve insert. A substantially axial slot may be defined on an upper surface of the valve insert. The actuator may include an actuator housing, the piston, an actuator spring, and an actuator cover. in the embodiment shown, the actuator housing defines a plurality of orifices and feelingly accommodates the piston. The piston may be mechanically connected to the valve body shaft and is biased toward a front surface of the actuator housing by a spring. The actuator cover may accommodate one end of the spring and cooperates with the actuator housing to define a generally cylindrical cavity therein.

  • Patent number: 6283342
Abstract: A footwear donning assistance device is provided. The footwear donning assistance device includes a handle or looped web and an insertion member. The insertion member is made from resilient materials and includes a central element and two wing elements. The central member and wing elements prevent the footwear piece from being folded or rolling inwardly when being donned. An upper portion of the central element is concavely shaped to guide the user's heel into the shoe. The wing elements may be flared to guide the user's foot and to prevent adjacent portions of the shoe from being folded or rolled when being donned.

  • Patent number: 6175342
Abstract: The present invention is a modular electronic sign having a plurality of display units assembled on a mounting track and connected to a sign controller. Each display unit has a circuit board having a plurality of light emitting diodes arranged in a pattern thereon. A microprocessor in each display unit is in communication with the sign controller and adjacent display units. Each display unit is hermetically sealed to avoid a separate enclosure for the modular sign. A plurality of clips are used to electrically connect the display units to power and communications conductors. A plurality of compression clips mechanically connect the display units to the mounting track. Each display unit is mountable to the mounting track either horizontally or vertically.
