  • Patent number: 8076887
Abstract: A wiper controller which detects the raindrops adhered onto the windshield glass G of the vehicle to control the wiper based on the detected result is provided with a wiped water measurement unit for calculating an amount of water wiped by the wiper, a wiper operation time counter for counting the actual wiper operation time based on the ON/OFF signal of the wiper motor for driving the wiper, a delay time calculation unit which obtains the wiper operation delay time by comparing the actual wiper operation time with the reference wiper operation time, and an operation change determination unit for determining with respect to the need for changing the wiper operation based on the wiper operation delay time and the amount of water wiped by the wiper. The change in the rainfall state is derived from the wiper operation delay time and the amount of water wiped by the wiper to appropriately control the wiper in response to the change in the rainfall state.

  • Patent number: 7862353
Abstract: An electrical connector housing has a housing body and a U-shaped lever that is connected to the housing body in a manner that the U-shaped lever can both pivot and slide relative to the housing body. The U-shaped lever engages a mounting structure so that the U-shaped lever pivots from a pre-engaged position to an engaged, extended position in order to draw a female electrical terminal into secure connection with a male electrical terminal and, simultaneously therewith, the housing body is drawn into sealing contact with the mounting structure. From the engaged, extended position, the U-shaped lever slidably moves to an engaged, retracted position relative to the housing body. The electrical connector housing and the mounting structure constitute an electrical connector assembly.

  • Patent number: 7672919
Abstract: Determination of a connectivity-metrics for graphs representative of networks of interest. A graph that represents a network of interest is accessed. The graph includes nodes representing points in the network of interest, and edges corresponding to the nodes. Bit-vectors are generated corresponding to the nodes and/or edges, wherein individual bits in the bit-vectors respectively provide a logical indication of connectedness. The connectivity-metric is then determined by applying a logical bit operation to the plurality of bit-vectors. Examples of connectivity metrics include a connected components, shortest paths, betweenness, clustering, and tree-based determinations.
