  • Patent number: 7242117
Abstract: There is provided a linear motor in which the number of armature windings can be reduced, and an armature iron core can be readily fixed to a member for supporting the armature iron core. Each of three inductors 1A to 1C is so arranged that a tooth row 7 therein is located on each side thereof in a width direction thereof orthogonal to a moving direction of an armature 3. The three inductors are arranged spaced apart from each other by a predetermined spacing in the width direction. An armature iron core 9 of the armature 3 includes four magnetic pole portions 15A to 15D and three yoke portions 17A to 17, and is constituted by a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates laminated in the moving direction of the armature 3. The four magnetic pole portions 15A to 15D are arranged in parallel and spaced apart from each other by a predetermined spacing so that each of the three inductors 1A to 1C is positioned within the spacing.

  • Patent number: 7231726
Abstract: A cover body (100), formed of an elastic member for covering a slider body (510) of a caliper, is provided with concavities and convexities (112) on the inner surface thereof and concavities and convexities (103) on the outer surface thereof. The cover body (100) is arranged so that it is easily deformed elastically in the portion of the concavities and convexities. When a shock is given from the outside, the portion of the concavities and convexities is deformed elastically to absorb the shock, hence the shock given to the slider body (510) is reduced. Accordingly, damage or failure hardly occurs on the measuring instrument.

  • Patent number: 7228923
Abstract: A landing shock absorbing device 18 disposed in a foot mechanism 6 of a leg of a robot, wherein an inflatable bag-like member 19 (a variable capacity element) is provided at a ground-contacting face side of the foot mechanism 6. The bag-like member 19 is constructed of an elastic material such as rubber and has a restoring force. An interior portion of the bag-like member 19 is communicated with the atmosphere side through a flow passage 20. During a landing motion of the leg, the bag-like member 19 makes contact with the ground to be compressed, and the air in the interior portion thereof flows out into the atmosphere through the flow passage 20, so that its outflow resistance is generated. Accordingly, a landing shock is reduced. In a lifting state of the leg, the restoring force of the bag-like member 19 allows the bag-like member 19 to be inflated while the air flows into the interior portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 7225516
Abstract: A fixture is provided for supporting a vehicle hub assembly during manufacturing operations that include rotating the assembly. The fixture includes a base with an upper surface, a linearly movable housing slidably supported on the base, an adjustable support block defining two selectable bores, each for slidably receiving a stud from one of two corresponding hub assembly types, and a handle for sliding the housing along the base. An operator checks the type of hub assembly to be worked on and rotates the support block if necessary to select the proper bore. The operator then slides the housing, causing the bore in the support block to slidably engage the stud. Each bore is configured within the support block so as to be accurately aligned with a stud on a corresponding hub assembly when supported in a jig, thus, allowing repeated fixture and hub assembly engagement without any additional adjustments.

  • Patent number: 7227089
Abstract: In electronic balance, an analog computation portion determines at least a differential control signal according to an amount of displacement of a beam. A digital computation portion determines at least an integral control signal is determined by after the amount of displacement of the beam is digital-converted. The control signal component determined by the digital computation portion is analog-converted. Thereafter, a synthetic PID control signal is determined by being synthesized from a resultant signal and the control signal component, which is determined by the analog computation portion. Subsequently, a coil current based on the synthetic PID control signal is passed through the coil. A weight value is obtained according to the control signal component determined by the digital computation portion.
