Abstract: A portable apparatus for mulching paper and paper products including a hopper having a gage bar limiting the thickness of the material entering the hopper, a cutting chamber where a cutter bar and a mulcher bar, operated by an electric motor, rotate and mulch the material and eject it into a chute and a bag at the end of the chute. The apparatus is easily clamped to a table.

Abstract: A gauge for measuring the relative resiliency of golf greens including a barrel shaped device with a base having foot pads to hold the instrument on the green and a calibrated spring to drive a measuring tip into the turf and a scale indicator attached to the barrel for providing the information indicative of the condition of the green.

Abstract: An adaptor for stabilizing a funnel in the opening of a container consists of a body of metal or plastic which contains a central bore internally threaded at each end for accepting the threaded stem of a funnel. The body is externally threaded on one end to engage internally threaded container openings and at the other end contains an internally threaded cavity to engage externally threaded container openings.

Abstract: A pool table having a gravity fed ball return system with a ball return compartment positioned beneath the playing surface thereof is combined with a self-powered electrical light. Broadly, the light includes a light bulb disposed within the ball return compartment and an electrical circuit for selectively energizing the bulb. The bulb is powered by at least one dry cell battery supported by the pool table. Embodiments of the inventive light having bulbs of both incandescent and fluorescent types are illustrated. One embodiment includes an incandescent bulb which may be selectively energized by axial movement of a metallic rod within a housing secured to the pool table. The second embodiment of the light, including the fluorescent bulb, is provided with an electrical, pushbutton switch mounted upon the side of the pool table for selectively energizing the bulb.

Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, an adjustable concrete rod for leveling the surface of uncured concrete disposed within a concrete form, the adjustable concrete rod including: an elongate member having a lower edge for the engagement and leveling of the uncured concrete; handles extending outwardly from each end of the elongate member, the handles engaging upper edges of the concrete form, the handles being manually graspable to move the elongate member along the surface of the concrete, with the lower edge adjustably in contact therewith, while the handles are in engagement with upper edges of the concrete form; and a securing apparatus to permit selective lengthwise adjustment of the elongate member.

Abstract: A carrier for carrying elongate materials of varying lengths comprises an outer container, an insert which fits and is slidable within the outer container, and a shelf assembly disposed within the insert for holding the elongate materials. The insert has top access ports (preferably, two) and side access ports for viewing and obtaining access to materials stored within the interior of the insert. The shelf assembly has, preferably, a T-shaped cross-section, and comprises a horizontal member for holding materials stored in an upper portion of the insert, and a vertical member dividing the lower portion of the insert into separate compartments. Further features include a retrieve handle connected to the insert and a pair of brackets for mounting the outer container to the top of a vehicle.

Abstract: A hand operated post puller including a lever arm with multiple pivot points and a fulcrum mounted on a force dispersing foot. The cinch for the post is mounted on the end of the lever arm and consists of a pair of angulated links with a pair of separated bars mounted between them. The bars grip the post on either side and pressure from the lever arm tightens the cinch as the force pulls the post out of the ground.

Abstract: A unitary furnace through which air is circulated for heating purposes is disclosed. A blower forces air through a number of heat exchange tubes horizontally positioned within the combustion chamber for space heating purposes. Another blower is provided for the delivery of air to the burning material disposed upon a fuel support frame within the combustion chamber through an air distribution manifold. The manifold is fitted within the combustion chamber and has a number of air discharge openings positioned above and below the fuel support frame. These openings are oriented and arranged to direct the air passing therethrough generally inwardly toward the fuel on the fuel support frame. An electrical circuit including temperature sensors is provided for regulating air flow from each of the two blowers. One sensor is positioned in the furnace flue outlet and the other sensor is positioned exteriorly of the furnace in the space to be heated.

Abstract: An improved cap tightening turret is of the type which includes a plurality of cap tightening spindles. The cap tightening spindles are mounted around the outer periphery of the turret. The turret includes a number of pedestals for respectively supporting a plurality of containers. Each of the spindles is for supporting a cap with each pedestal for movement of the neck of the container thereon into the spindle for causing the cap to be tightened by rotation onto the container. Each of the containers has an outwardly extending handle. A first type of container has the handle thereof disposed at a first radial distance thereon and a second type of container has a handle thereof disposed at a second radial distance thereon with the second radial distance being larger than the first radial distance. The improvement includes a single rotational prevention element mounted on each spindle.

Abstract: A reversible cover adapted to protect the cushion used with infant furniture comprising a upper and lower half sewn together on three sides and releasably closed on the remaining side. A protective cushion, having a radial tab, is attached at the juncture of the upper and lower halves and is adapted to extend above the cushion regardless of which side of the cushion receives the infant. The cover is reversed by simply turning the cushion over.
