Abstract: A vacuum cleaner floor tool in which offset air intake openings create multiple organized vortices in the vacuum chamber of the floor tool. Air intake openings on the side of the tool produce horizontally oriented vortices and allow the cleaning to be effective along the edge of the tool. A curved or broadened tool edge prevents the tool from being drawn into carpet by vacuum, and allows it to be pushed with little resistance across carpet even though the vacuum within the vacuum chamber is strong enough to produce high air flow through the air intake slots.
Abstract: A pressurizing device for a personal hydration system of the type utilizing a bladder storing a quantity of hydrating fluid. The pressurizing device utilizes at least one compression plate which contacts the hydration bladder and is held thereon through use of at least one retaining band. Through such attachment, the fluid within the hydration bladder of the personal hydration system is pressurized and able to be more easily drawn into the mouth of a user of the personal hydration system.
Abstract: A method of installing flooring to a bathroom floor which utilizes a coving cap attached to a bathtub wall or shower enclosure, to form a waterproof and flexible seal. The edge of the flooring material is inserted into an inverted “J” shaped coving cap, which traps the edge of the flooring, but allows it to move up and down slightly. The corners of the flooring are mitered and sealed to form a waterproof corner, and the entire floor becomes a waterproof basin.
Abstract: Disclosed is a device and method for using the device for inhibiting unauthorized usage of a power tool or other electrical component. The device is an electrical adapter or electrical cord having male plugs at each end. The power cord of the tool/component is outfitted with a female receptacle end. Because the tool/component is outfitted with a receptacle (female) end, an unauthorized user cannot plug the tool into a wall outlet (female) unless the user has the invented adapter (double male).
Abstract: A strain relief for protection of electrical and other cords extending from a component. The strain relief is made from a hard plug piece which attaches to the case or housing of the component. The cord extends through this plug piece via a passageway. This plug piece has a plurality of holes therethrough which connect the passageway with its outer surface. An molded jacket is molded onto the plug piece, wherein the injected material extends through the holes, into the passageway, and surrounding the cord. The injected material is preferably softer than the material used for the plug piece. The result is a one piece strain relief which is bonded to the cord.
Abstract: A positioned sensing device measures and/or calculates the lateral position and movement of a saw blade. These measured and calculated values are used to automatically alter the work-feed rate and/or saw blade rim speed either up or down as sawing conditions change within the work piece or between different work pieces.

Abstract: A sterilization system for dental and orthodontic tools is provided with a transport rack dimensionally sized to hold a plurality interchangeable cassettes. The interchangeable cassettes are designed and intended to hold kits of dental or orthodontic tools and are provided with top opening, double-hinged covers which lay flat on the surface when opened and used at a dental workstation.
Abstract: Apparatus for modifying conventional automatic three table bale wagons handling small bales to load, transport, and stack big bales with dimensions in excess of 3 feet×4 feet ×8 feet. With the apparatus a modified bale wagon picks up and handles big bales during traversal of a field in which big bales of vegetative material have been deposited. The modified bale wagon with its apparatus loads the big bales one at a time and orders them without rotation, two at a time, on a loading table of a conventional three table automatic bale wagon which pivots vertically, placing the two big bales on end on the bale wagon load bed side-by-side in the bale wagon load bed. When the load bed reaches capacity, six to eight big bales, the bale wagon is driven to a storage area where the load bed pivots 90°, allowing the big bales to be pushed off the load bed, forming a compact stack of six to eight big bales.
Abstract: A public transportation driver signalling device. The device is comprised of a tubular post member having a removable end cap. A signal light is located within the tubular post member adjacent the end cap. The signal light is preferably a light emitting diode. The light communicates with the exterior of the post through an opening in the post wall. A switch is located within the tubular post member in the lower half thereof. The switch is preferably an intermittent on/off type push button type switch with the push button extending through an opening in the wall of the tubular post member for access by a transportation patron.
Abstract: A convertible backpack chair device is disclosed. The device has a first frame portion and a second frame portion. The two portions are independent of one another and are able to be slip fitted in a chair mode, a reclining mode, and a backpack mode. In the backpack mode, the second frame portion nests within the first frame portion for convenient carrying and storage. Backpack straps may also be present to facilitate convenient carrying.
Abstract: A tie-down clip for assisting in the cinching of a rope or other flexible, elongated object. The tie-down clip has an eyelet, a rope attachment means for attachment to a rope and a helical extension extending from the rope attachment means for cooperation with the rope and assisting in cinching of the rope.
Abstract: A livestock free stall is provided, having a pair of vertically oriented posts held in fixed spaced relationship. Each of the posts has attached thereto in parallel spaced relationship upper and lower receiver tubes or posts with the receiver tubes or posts of each stanchion oriented in parallel spaced relationship to the corresponding upper and lower receiver tubes or posts of the other stanchions. A pair of rail loops, each having upper and lower ends, are then configured and sized for insertion into the upper and lower receiver tubes, or for receiving the upper and lower receiver posts, is then attached and fastened to the stanchion. A top rail interconnects the posts to form the completed free stall assembly.
Abstract: The present invention is a vacuuming apparatus convertible between a backpack mode, a canister mode and an upright mode. Additionally, the present invention is convertible into a handheld mode and a blower mode. Each of these modes are accomplished through attachments which are able to be easily attached and detached together. The apparatus has a power unit having an electric motor and impeller; a base unit containing a filter; a backpack unit for use in the backpack mode; a canister unit for use in the canister mode; a blower unit for use in the blower mode; a handheld unit for use as a handheld vacuum cleaner in a hand held mode; and a work bench waste collection mode.
