Abstract: A constant-speed, variable-volume, piston-type air pump. The piston head always is closely adjacent to the cylinder head at the completion of the compression stroke. The length or extent of the piston down-stroke or intake stroke is selectively adjustable between a maximum and a minimum position to thus vary the volume of air pumped.
Abstract: An electrical connector for use with a fuse holding block and a fuse body having conductive contact blades. The electrical connector is an elongated conductive thin member having a shoulder adjacent a first end, an integral tab positioned between the shoulder and the other end, the tab extending at an angle, and a fuse blade contact portion extending from the other end. The thin member is removably attachable to the fuse body with (i) the fuse blade contact portion being in abutting contact with a fuse blade, (ii) an end of the tab being positioned in a channel of the fuse body and abutting a shoulder means of the channel, and (iii) the shoulder of the thin member abutting a top surface of the fuse body head portion.
Abstract: A male-type terminal end portion comprising a relatively thin, flat metal strip having two sides and a proximal end and a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart indentations extending along the longitudinal axis to the proximal end. The indentations have a preselected depth to thus form an effective thickness equal to the sum of the preselected depth and preselected thickness of the metal strip.
Abstract: An improved clip-on pouring spout is removably attachable to a screw neck of a container. The pouring spout has a funnel section with a mated prong pair extending proximally from a larger cross-sectional opening of the funnel. The prong pair together defines essentially an external perimeter of the neck. A lumen surface of the prong pair can have an interiorly extending rib, which provides an essentially tight connection when the prong pair is attached to the neck. The rib can extend from the lumen surface closer to an exterior surface of the funnel section, or closer to an interior surface of the funnel section, or intermediate between the exterior and the interior surfaces of the funnel section. The clip-on pouring spout can have more than one prong pair, e.g., four prong pairs, with each prong pair sized to accommodate the same or differently sized screw necks. The pouring spout with a plurality of prong pairs can have an interiorly extending rib on each prong pair.
Abstract: A press fitted stud on one end of a metal strip is hooked into the opening of a striker plate in a door jamb and the strip extends in the space between the jamb and the edge of the door past the jamb and closed door. The extended end of the plate has holes for receiving a knurled locking pin which holds a locking plate tightly against the closed door and the door jamb to keep the door securely closed. Resilient pads of different thickness and compressibility on the locking plate facing the door keep the door tightly closed.
Abstract: An electrical terminal connector having a flat base portion with at least one male terminal connection tab depending from one side of the base portion, and a slot in the base portion extending from the edge of a second side of the base portion.
Abstract: An integrated circuit chip package has a substrate having first and second mutually parallel sides and a preselected thickness and a space on the first side for the mounting thereon of an electronic component having a body with a flat surface. The substrate further includes a plurality of elongated thermal conductive members, each having a head portion adapted to be in contact with the flat surface of the electronic component. The members further have elongated body portions of a preselected length greater than the thickness of the substrate. The thermal conductive members extend through preselected holes in the substrate whereby heat may be conducted from the flat surface of the component through the thermal conductive member to the other side of the substrate.
Abstract: A combined constant-speed, variable-volume, piston-type air pump and peristalic pump. The air pump has a "minimum gap", i.e., has a piston head which is closely adjacent to the cylinder head at the completion of the compression stroke. The piston intake stroke is selectively adjustable between a maximum and a minimum position to thus vary the volume of air pumped. A motor means drives both pumps simultaneously. The peristalic pump comprises a pump housing mounted on a frame, having an inner circumferential track and a central opening. A rotor is positioned in said central opening, and has at least two rollers mounted thereon for rotation about axes parallel to said shaft axis. Flexible, compressible, hollow tube means is positioned between said rollers and said track.
Abstract: A peristalic pump includes a frame supporting a rotatable shaft on which is mounted a rotor having at least two rollers mounted thereon for rotation about axes parallel to the shaft axis. A pump housing surrounds the rotor and is formed by a pair of substantially identical body members positioned in facing, abutting relationship. Each body member has an annular portion with a flat axial end surface and an inner circumferential surface, as well as a tube guide and clamp tang portion integral with the annular portion and extending radially outwardly therefrom. Each tube guide and clamp tang portion has a pair of spaced-apart half-round grooves extending to the inner circumferential surface. Each member has a shoulder which extends radially inwardly from one axial end of the annular portion.
Abstract: Apparatus for marking a preselected reference point on the water surface of a lake having a bottom surface comprising a float member with parallel top and bottom surfaces and two sides defining a cradle for holding a plurality of turns of fine line. The float member further includes at least one weight receiving recess in the top or bottom, a central bore and a line attaching rod member extending perpendicularly through the bore. A weight member is provided having a preselected shape permitting the snug positioning thereof in the recess. A preselected length of fine line is connected at one end to the rod and at the other end to the weight member.
