Abstract: A three-dimensional sail apparatus that is made up of a plurality of spacedly disposed foils and a sail cloth for attachment to the foils on opposite sides thereof. Each foil has opposed sail cloth supporting sides that together define a foil shape, A support is disposed between the sides for controlling the relative positioning between the sides of the foil, with each rail adapted to deflect under wind force against its related sail cloth so that the foil can assume opposite respective asymmetric foil shapes.
Abstract: A playing card apparatus that has a deck of a multiplicity of different keyword cards, each card representing a predetermined term and associated definitions thereof, and with each card displaying indicia thereon including a base term, certain definitions of which are to be selected by a player. The card also includes a plurality of definition terms and means for highlighting only the correct definition or definitions of the plurality of definition terms. Also included are a set of response cards, each response card having indicia thereon corresponding to one of the definition terms, a timer for setting a time period for a player to submit answers via selection of one or more response cards by the player and a score card to be filled in by the dealer with the scoring based upon correct and incorrect answers by the player.
Abstract: An improved support for stringed musical instruments of the violin family, allowing the musician to play the instrument in a wide range of stable and adjustable playing positions without using pressure from the chin, jaw, neck, left hand, or shoulder resulting in comfortable playing positions and a relaxed body posture, the support sling consisting of one or more narrow lengths of flexible material slipped under the tailpiece of the instrument, over the adjacent shoulder of the musician, down diagonally across the musician's back, under the opposite underarm, and upwardly across the musician's chest until the opposite ends of the sling are adjacent to each other, whereby they may be connected to each other to form a continuous loop that extends around the body of the musician making a close and secure fit.
Abstract: A bird feeder including a container or holder for holding bird feed that has both open top and bottom ends, a plurality of feeding ports, a plurality of perches, a removable base and a manually operated latch member supported by the base. The latch member includes a plurality of latch extensions for engagement with holes in the base and a plurality of fingers for releasable engagement with the port assemblies. The feed port assembly includes a port member, an insert member for engagement with the fastener and a container for securing the port member with the insert member. A mount supports the bird feeder from below.

Abstract: A torque limiting device that includes a body, an output race including a distal portion extending from the body for supporting a tool that is to be controlled from the body and a proximal portion formed as a radial flange and a plurality of ball bearings disposed in a plurality of accommodating holes arranged about the flange. A first thrust member is disposed at the distal portion side of the flange and an actuator plate is providing having a peripheral ratchet surface and a plurality of holes arranged in line with certain holes in the flange. A pawl is supported by the body for engagement with the ratchet surface. A second thrust member imposes a force on the actuator plate toward the output race. The balls supported by the output race transfer axial force therethrough between the actuator plate and the first thrust member.
Abstract: A cigarette or cigar lighter has a housing containing an ignition source and means for selectively activating the ignition source to produce a flame, in combination with an electronic memory device. A door is coupled to the housing and adapted to have open and closed positions and has means defining a pocket therein for receiving the electronic memory device with the electronic memory device extending partially from the pocket. The pocket receives the electronic memory device in the open position of the door. The door is adapted to be closed by a user to integrate the door and electronic memory device with the lighter.
Abstract: A digital imaging device is provided with a touch sensitive display screen 10. The screen 10 displays an image 12 captured by the imaging device. Along one side of the screen is a toolbar 14 upon which is provided a plurality of individual icons 16. The icons 16 represent particular control functions that may be selected by a user. Examples of such control functions represented by the icons 16 include but are not limited to save, send, retrieve or discard image; rotate, reflect, crop, resize or edit image; compare images; process image (e.g. sharpen, blur, emboss, edge detect, pixelise, apply filter or similar); or vary image properties (e.g. brightness, colour balance, colour depth, contrast, convert to greyscale/black and white, effective surface temperature displayed (for infrared images) or similar). The user can select icons by touching the screen either directly or more preferably by tapping the screen with a suitable implement such as a pen, a stylus or similar.
Abstract: A captive structural fastener includes an integral hold-out feature. The fastener includes a stud assembly including a stud, a retaining ring including two oppositely disposed tabs protruding toward the center of the retaining ring, a first sleeve that is mainly engageable with a second sleeve, the second sleeve including an inwardly disposed channel for receiving the retaining ring; and a receptacle assembly, the receptacle assembly including a bracket constructed and arranged to be secured to a panel, an internally threaded nut, a retaining clamp for securing the nut in the bracket, and a grommet assembly having a bore for receiving the stud therethrough.
Abstract: A multi-purpose hearing aid cleaning device including a housing that includes a pair of housing members that are supported for relative hinging therebetween and that defines open and closed positions. A plurality of cleaning pieces are supported in the housing with each cleaning piece pivotable from a storage position in which the cleaning piece is stored in the housing to a use position in which at least a portion of the cleaning piece extends out of the housing.
