Abstract: The invention refers to a cosmetic gel product containing acrylates and to a method for manufacturing the said product. The gel comprises 0.01-80% by weight of a film-forming agent on the basis of an acrylate copolymer or acrylate derivate which agent is emulsifiable with water, 0.01-90% by weight of an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent or a volatile silicone derivate, both of which are not miscible with water and are emulsifiable with water-based ingredients and/or with ingredients on the basis of organic solvents in the presence of an emulsifier.

Abstract: A louver panel for an electronic sign incorporating multiple spaced primary and secondary louvers extending outwardly from a configured substantially planar panel to provide direct shading of the structure adjacent to an LED, to the structure of the louver panel including the louvers and the panel, and to provide shading for all or part of an LED. Spacings of the louvers provide for regions of shade which improve contrast and which in transition between panels camouflage horizontal seams.

Abstract: Group resource allocation techniques for IEEE 802.16m are generally presented. In this regard a method is introduced comprising generating a plurality of bitmaps to identify resource allocations and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) modes for a group of broadband wireless mobile stations, wherein each mobile station in the group is assigned a position within a user bitmap to identify whether the mobile station is allocated frame resources and wherein the position within one or more MIMO bitmap(s) to identify a MIMO mode, and transmitting the bitmaps in a group resource allocation (GRA) information element (IE) of a broadband wireless media access protocol (MAP) frame portion. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a method includes receiving a request to initiate recording of media content of an event. The method also includes controlling capturing of the media content by a capture machine in response to the received request. The method includes opening a chat session among one or more persons that are listeners or viewers of the event being captured, wherein the opening is in response to the request to initiate recording of the media content. The chat session comprises one or more entries that include a chat input from the one or more persons and a timecode of the chat input. The method includes receiving a request to stop recording of the media content of the event. The method also includes combining at least a subset of the one or more entries of the chat session with the media content using the time code of the one or more entries.

Abstract: Disclosed in one example is a method for interfacing with multiple social networks. The method includes receiving a call from a social networking service agnostic social networking application for one of a plurality of social networking functions in a first format, translating the call in the first format to a call in a second format, the second format being one of a plurality of heterogeneous social networking service application programming interface formats, and passing the call in the second format to a first social networking service by utilizing a first social networking service application programming interface.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for providing a master data framework. The framework receives user input and automatically generates, in accordance with the input, a persistent definition of a business object type. The input can be simple declarations and need not be provided in any particular programming language. Definitions generated by the framework adhere to a same data model, regardless of the business object type they are defining. The framework allows the user to create a definition of a business object type by associating two or more definitions of other business object types. The framework provides services that can be applied, without further customization, to any definition of business object types generated by the framework. These services, for example, can be used by a calling application to instantiate business objects or to change a state of a business object instance.

Abstract: A server system facilitates an exchange of messages with a remote client application. The server system includes a plurality of application servers hosting a plurality of applications. A plurality of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) provides programmatic access to the plurality of applications, each of the APIs being configured to receive request messages compiled by the remote client application. First and second request messages, respectively addressed to first and second APIs of the plurality of APIs by a remote client application, each comprise at least one common data component. Further, the first request message includes a first payload specific to the first API, and the second request message includes a payload specific to the second API.

Abstract: A method for implementing a neural stimulation therapy mode in an implantable medical device (IMD) comprising the acts of mapping respective device states, defined by one or more timer states that include at least one neural event timer or one or more indications of one or more sensed physiologic events, to associated device actions in a stored neural table, storing an event represented as a device status word and a time stamp in a queue in response to an action input, and comparing one or more current timer states or one or more indications of one or more sensed physiologic events to a device state contained in the neural table and, if found to match, causing performance of one or more associated device actions, wherein the device actions include one or more of a neural stimulation energy delivery or a change in one or more timer states.

Abstract: A system for tuition reimbursement includes an administrative command module. An administrator can use the command module to implement a plurality of features on the system. After system set up by the administrator, a user interface displays an electronic application form for requesting reimbursement for tuition expenses. A completed electronic application form is transmitted to a manager for approval to take the course and a human resources administrator. Data relating to a completion of an education course is received, and then this data is transmitted to the manager of an employee and the human resources administrator. Input is then received relating to an approval or a denial of payment for the reimbursement for tuition expenses.

The method includes displaying deviation indicators (or representations), relative to the common baseline value indication, for each of the multiple data items. The multiple deviation indicators represent respective deviation values, relative to respective base values, for each of the multiple data items at a second time instance. Each of the deviation indicators may further visually identify a respective deviation value as being positive or negative, relative to a related base value.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a printed circuit board that is part of a wagering game machine. The printed circuit board includes a processor operable to execute instructions associated with a wagering game. The printed circuit board also includes a hard drive mount that includes an alignment guide and a blind mate connector for electrically coupling a hard drive to a surface mount connection on the printed circuit board. The hard drive is to store wagering game data for the wagering game.

Abstract: A cardiac rhythm management system for providing a plurality of therapy modalities. For example, the system may include a cardiac resynchronization therapy module for providing cardiac resynchronization therapy and a pacemaker module for providing bradycardia therapy, as well as a selector module coupled to the cardiac resynchronization therapy module and the bradycardia module. The selector module may select an operating mode from among a plurality of operating modes including the cardiac resynchronization therapy module and the pacemaker module. Various manual and automatic methods may be used to select the operating mode. In addition, a reversion management system may be included to assist the cardiac rhythm management system to recover in case of a disruption to the system.

Abstract: A system for communicating with an implantable medical device via RF telemetry is disclosed which mitigates the effects of nulls caused by, e.g., multi-path distortion. In one embodiment, signals transmitted by the implantable device to an external device are simultaneously received with a pair of separate spaced apart first and second antennas. The antennas may provide spatial and/or polar diversity. The presence of nulls in the implantable device's transmission pattern can be determined by detecting an error rate in the signals received from the implantable device with each antenna.

Abstract: Frequencies from a set of audio source files are extracted and measured across the set to determine a range of each of the frequencies. Stable frequencies of the frequencies are detected based on each range and used to create a stable frequency family. An unknown recording is mapped to the stable frequency family to form an audio fingerprint.

Abstract: A system for enabling telemetry in implantable medical devices is provided. One aspect of this disclosure relates to an implantable medical device having radio-frequency telemetry capabilities. The device includes a housing and electronic circuitry contained within the housing. The device also includes an antenna connected to the electronic circuitry, the antenna having a helical portion and a whip portion, the whip portion separate from a feed conductor and adapted to enhance a radiation pattern of the antenna. According to various embodiments, the antenna and circuitry are adapted to facilitate transmission and reception of modulated radio-frequency energy at a specified carrier frequency. At least a portion of the antenna is embedded in a dielectric compartment, according to various embodiments. Other aspects and embodiments are provided herein.

Abstract: A method for modeling power management in an integrated circuit (IC) includes: specifying a circuit design and a power architecture for the IC, the power architecture including a plurality of power domains for specifying power levels in different portions of the IC; determining an emulation module for the IC by including one or more hardware elements for modeling the power architecture in the emulation module; and using the emulation module to simulate changing power levels in one or more power domains of the IC including a power shutoff in at least one power domain.
