  • Patent number: 7493990
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for thermally protecting an electromagnetic actuator used to suppress vibrations in an elevator installation. The apparatus includes a temperature evaluation unit that determines an actual temperature of the actuator on the basis of a signal proportional to a current supplied to the actuator. A limiter restricts the current supplied to the actuator if the actual temperature of the actuator as determined by the temperature evaluation unit is greater than a predetermined temperature.

  • Patent number: 7484616
Abstract: A transportation facility in which an object transported while being suspended from a hanger such as a trolley conveyor is transferred on to a carriage of a carriage-type transportation device for a certain section of a route. At the start point, there is an object receiving means at the under side of a traveling route of a traveling body. An object support device is lifted relative to the hanger of the traveling body and the object receiving means is caused to receive the object (W) from the hanger. At the end of the transportation, an object return means is provided for lowering the object support device relative to the hanger to transfer the object to the hanger. In the transportation route, the traveling body is switched to a state in which drive is released and a hanger engagement means is engaged with the hanger so that the traveling body can be pulled and moved by the carriage.

  • Patent number: 7475756
Abstract: In relation with this mechanism for stopping an elevator car is, for the monitoring of the speed of the elevator car, an overspeed governor provided which works based on the swing lever principle, whereby the movement of the elevator car will be transferred by means of a governor rope to the overspeed governor. The governor rope extends itself over the entire shaft height and will be returned at the lower shaft end by means of a deflection sheave and stretched by means of counterweight as well as guided at the upper shaft end over a pulley of the overspeed governor. The ends of the governor rope are fastened on a release mechanics arranged on the elevator car and such release mechanics operates in an emergency a safety gear arranged on the elevator car. With the overspeed of the elevator car a rope brake is released upwards.

  • Patent number: 7460316
Abstract: A wall-integrable lens arrangement and a wall-integrated device with a connection housing and such a lens arrangement includes a connection housing having a radiation-emitting element. The connection housing is arranged on a first side of a wall and has an attachment portion and a connecting member. A lens arrangement has a lens head that is transparent to the radiation and an attachment portion and a connection member. The wall has a wall breakthrough through which at least one of the attachment portions projects, the connection members of the connection housing and the lens arrangement being mutually engaged. The wall breakthrough and at least one of the attachment portions that projects through it are complementary and formed in such a manner that the lens arrangement is maintained in a pre-specified horizontal position or rotational position and secured in the position against rotation.

  • Patent number: 7458455
Abstract: A conveying apparatus formed so as to selectively move a to-be-conveyed object support table (3) installed on a conveying traveler body (1) to a lifted position by pushing up the support table by cam rails (40) laid down in the specific section of a conveying route, wherein the holding function of the to-be-conveyed object support table (3) at the lifted position is increased to enhance safety. A to-be-latched portion (33) reciprocatingly moving in a roughly horizontal direction according to a standing/falling motion of the crosslink mechanisms (12) and latches (34) for locking automatically engaged with the to-be-latched portion (33) when the to-be-conveyed object support table (3) is lifted to a predetermined position are installed on the conveying traveler body (1) sides of the crosslink mechanisms (12) liftably supporting the to-be-conveyed object support table (3).

  • Patent number: 7457005
Abstract: A method for transmission of image messages comprises the use of a plurality of transmission modalities to allow coupling of a conventional facsimile apparatus or other image-generating devices to remote equipment. An image transmission is made to a point of presence facility. The facsimile transmission includes identification of the ultimate recipient for the transmission. The point of presence facility identifies the recipient, and re-transmits received facsimile image information to the recipient in a format appropriate for the recipient. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the recipient's address is identified as an e-mail address, and the point of presence facility converts the facsimile or other image data to an e-mail-compatible format.

  • Patent number: 7448102
Abstract: A method for supplying liquid mixtures on a mix-on-demand basis for consumptive use, and for maintaining the composition of such mixture on a highly accurate and stable basis. For wet-on-wet processing of fabrics, the processing solution is supplied at start-up on a mix-on-demand basis to precise specifications and is maintained at such precise specifications throughout fabric processing, which involves continuous additions of water by the incoming fabric and removal of solution by the exiting fabric. Recirculation of the solution at a high rate, together with rapid and repetitive measurements of the composition of the recirculating solution enables the solution to be precisely monitored and maintained. Periodic small additions of chemical are injected as necessary to maintain highly stable, accurately controlled process conditions. Extraordinary economies, both direct and indirect, can be realized with the new system.

  • Patent number: 7438268
Abstract: A display bar assembly for mounting on spaced apart slotted uprights on a merchandising gondola or the like. A tubular display bar of polygonal cross section is fitted with a pair of mounting brackets, which are slideable along the bar to enable spacing of the mounting brackets to agree with the spacing between the slotted uprights, which can be somewhat variable. The mounting brackets are formed with openings which closely and non-rotatably receive the display bar and are provided with hooks which engage slots in the uprights. Flanged end plugs are received tightly in each end of the display bar to prevent removal of the slideable brackets, such that the display bar and brackets form a permanent assembly. The mounting brackets may have multiple slot-engaging hooks for installation on uprights of different thicknesses in different rotary positions of the assembly.
