  • Patent number: 6651281
Abstract: A bed assembly (1) for altering the position of a person supported thereon, includes a longitudinal support frame (5) having a support surface (23) for a person and a longitudinal cradle means (4) extending over the support surface. The cradle has a recess (10) extending along side portions of the cradle in the longitudinal direction. The recesses are adapted to receive and engage cradle support engaging means (7, 7a). These means are mounted to the support frame in close relation to the recess and adapted to be extendable and retractable in engaging relation within said recess so as to promote a change in configuration of the cradle. A first actuator (3) is disposed beneath the support frame and coupled to the engaging means for extending or retracting the engaging means. In a first condition the actuator causes the engaging means to extend towards and be received by the recess, causing the cradle means to move between a position of rest and a concave configuration about the central longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 6651378
Abstract: A refillable bait station for containing and holding a bait for insects. The bait is stored in an interior chamber of the invention. A ramp extending from beneath the station allows the insects to reach the bait within the bait station. The ramp is supported by a pyramidal shaped housing having tapering sidewalls that allow the insects to descend to the level of the bait. A floating feeding pad extending from the periphery of the housing allows the insects to access the bait without the risk of becoming trapped. The station can be secured to the ground by a security stake having a plurality of retaining members thereon or to a dry, hard surface with double-sided adhesive tape. A tamper resistant filling cap allows the station to be refilled through an access aperture equipped with a spill proof shield.

  • Patent number: 6652045
Abstract: A golf bag assembly including supporting legs movable between a support position for cooperating with the bag to hold the golf bag assembly in an upright position and a transport position wherein the legs are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bag, a pull member assembly for moving the supporting legs, and an operating member for movement over a dead center position for controlling movement of the supporting legs between the support position and the transport position. A stop member can be provided for selectively allowing or preventing the operating member from assuming a closed position for releasably locking the supporting legs in the transport position. A transmission system for connecting the operating assembly and a pivot assembly for effecting movement of the supporting legs can extend across and through the golf bag so as not to expand the width of the golf bag.

  • Patent number: 6649011
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing adhesive die-cut articles with internal cut-outs 3 from an endless web 1, the web having a carrier layer 4, at least one adhesive layer 5 and, if appropriate, a matrix layer 6, and to a die-cut article produced by the method. In order to produce a die-cut article with an internal cut-out 3 while avoiding the use of a hollow punch, the contour 17 of the internal cut-out 3 and the external contour 10 of the respective die-cut article are die-cut out of the adhesive layer 5 and, if appropriate, the matrix layer 6 one after another, the external contour 10 not having any common point with the die-cutting line of the internal cut-out 3, the carrier layer 4 with the die-cutting residues from the internal cut-out 3 being pulled off over a pull-off edge, and the remaining web being transferred to a protective film 8 (FIG. 1).
