Abstract: Headset for fitting an earpiece that has a lock housing in or on which a fixing device is provided. A flexurally rigid and elastic ear loop which forms a loop for accommodating the outer ear of a user, and one end of the ear loop is received longitudinally displaceable in the fixing device of the lock housing, and for adjusting the size of the loop is adjustably received in various length positions, creating a fixing effect. There is a control device for receiving and outputting electrical signals and a signal interface for receiving and/or outputting electrical signals to and/or from the control device.

Abstract: Apparatus for continuous extrusion of an aluminium sheathing free from imperfections or discontinuities onto a core cable, such as an insulated copper cable, includes a rotatable wheel formed with a pair of circumferential grooves arcuate tooling bounding radially outer portions of the respective grooves, a die body provided with divergent exit apertures discharging laterally to an extrusion chamber through 90° elbows and short divergent passages at diametrically opposed locations. An electrical induction heater includes coils of copper tubing connected to an electrical power source and to a coolant circulating device is positioned at a radially outer portion of the die body and is energizable to supply heat to the die body to maintain a uniform temperature of approximately 480° C., controlled by signals from thermocouples around the extrusion chamber.

Abstract: A detector array for use in a laser imaging apparatus, comprises a plurality of housings disposed in an arc around an opening in which an object to be scanned is disposed, each housing including an open front end, a rear end and a longitudinal axis; and a detector disposed within each housing at a distance from the front end, thereby to restrict the field of view of each detector. The housings are adapted to be orbited around the object about an orbit axis. Each detector is adapted to simultaneously detect light exiting from the object within the respective field of view of each detector. A method for collecting light exiting from a object being scanned with a light source is also disclosed.

Abstract: An auxiliary device for harvesting pasture prevents clogging at a roll baler to increase speed of harvesting pasture and decrease occurrence of troubles and enhance density of roll package. The auxiliary device for harvesting pasture includes tires having a predetermined width and weight as a rolling body, a holding portion to rotatably hold the tires, and an attaching portion to attach the holding portion to the front of a tractor which tows a roll baler. In the constitution of the auxiliary device for harvesting pasture, the attaching portion is attached to the front portion of the tractor and a line of collected grass is subject to rolling pressure by rolling of tires in accordance with movement of the tractor. Instead of the tires, a cylindrical body or a columnar body, or either one which is made in the form of metal cylindrical body or columnar body can be mounted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for operating a centrifuge which has a drive shaft used for loading, a drum which is connected to the drive shaft and has a drum casing and a drum base, a filter with a working region situated within the filter, an annular space formed between the filter and the drum casing, at least one drum base opening which is formed in the drum base and opens out into the annular space, and at least one swirl nozzle which is arranged in such a manner that it injects a fluid through the at least one drum base opening into the annular space.

Abstract: A portable shelter that attaches to the outsides of the tires of the vehicle, as opposed to the body or wheel hubs of the vehicle. The shelter includes a canopy attached to an upper end of at least one mast, and a mast base that is attached to a lower end of the mast. The mast base comprises a threaded bolt, a plate having a threaded opening for receiving the bolt therethrough, and a holder for receiving a lower end of the bolt. The base also includes a plurality of arms that each have a first end attached to the holder and a second end attached to a hook. Braces are mounted between the plate and the arms so that when the bolt moves relative to the plate, the arms move relative to the holder so that the hooks on the arms can receive the outsides of a tire.

Abstract: A foldable water tank includes a foldable receptacle having a bottom wall and vertical sidewalls; and a folding frame to support the sidewalls in an upright position. The frame has first, second, third and fourth upper rails joined end-to-end. The frame has a folded position wherein the upper rails are adjacent to each other. First hinges disposed at end portions of said upper rails pivotably connect the upper rails. The second and fourth rails each includes first and second sections having adjacent end portions. Second hinges connect the adjacent end portions to allow the second and fourth rails to fold inwardly to be disposed between the first and third rails in the folded position. The second hinges each includes a shield to cover the adjacent end portions thereby to protect a user's hand from being pinched by the adjacent end portions during unfolding or folding of the frame.

Abstract: Proposed are a method and a device for consolidation of a number n of items, whose weight varies within predefined limits, in a container to a single unit with a predefined target weight. For this purpose, n?1 portions are combined and the weight of all of the n?1 portions is determined. Then the difference between the target weight of the n portions on the one hand and the weight of the n?1 portions on the other is determined. Ultimately, an nth portion with a precise weight is cut-off from a piece, where the weight equals the weight of the nth portion of the difference. For this purpose, the device is provided with a first and a second insertion station, a scale, a computer, and a portioning and cutting device.

Abstract: The invention provides in an improved pressure-baking apparatus for producing puffed crackers from a starch-containing. cereal or other food material, thereby allowing better control of expansion resp. product consistency for an enlarged range of crackers types, materials and shapes. Accordingly the apparatus has a baking mold comprises the combination of a fixed upper die plate (1,2), a lower punch plate (3,4) directly driven and supported by a cylinder/pistion unit (10), and therebetween a peripheral mold plate (6) comprising die holes (7) in registry with said upper dies (2) and lower punches (4), said peripheral plate being selectively movable in the vertical direction between said fixed upper die plate and driven lower punch plate. An hydraulic power system (11,17) integral with the apparatus is linked with drive unit (10).

Abstract: A portable water tank comprises a foldable receptacle having a bottom wall and vertical sidewalls; a frame to support the sidewalls in an upright position, the frame including upper and lower rails, and vertical posts joining the upper rail to the lower rail. The receptacle includes a drain sleeve disposed near the bottom wall and extends between corresponding portions of the upper and lower rails, and between a pair of the posts. The sleeve overlies the corresponding portion of the lower rail. Reinforcement members are attached to the corresponding portions of the lower rail and the pair of posts. A valve is operably attached to the pair of posts and the corresponding portion of the lower rail. The valve is operably associated with the drain sleeve and has an open position to allow water within the receptacle to flow through the drain sleeve, and a closed position to keep water from flowing through the drain sleeve.

The glass provides an illuminant “A” light transmission greater of 65%, a total solar energy transmittance of less than or equal to 60%, a solar ultraviolet transmittance of less than 46%; a dominant wavelength from 490 nm to 600; and an excitation purity of less than 6.

Abstract: Tooth whitening compound includes a whitener and a carrier selected for adhering the carrier and whitening composition to a user's teeth. The whitening compound may be applied by the method including painting, washing, sponging, coating, daubing, spraying, wiping, rubbing, and by any movement relative to a horizontal or vertical axis of the user's tooth. The whitening compound may be sufficiently viscous to adhere to a user's teeth, in use, without a mechanical retaining device. The whitening compound may be a semi-solid or a solid compound at ambient temperatures.

Abstract: This invention is a method for manufacturing a spinning reel from an extrusion and in particular the frame or housing of a spinning reel, the method comprises the steps of providing a single long bar single extrusion, the extrusion includes two regions, a first region comprises a hollow, tube-like portion and a second region comprises a filled portion, the filled portion extending exterior of the hollow portion and transverse to the longitudinal axis of the second region, cutting a blank from the end of the extrusion to form a blank and machining the blank to provide a frame or housing of a spinning reel. The invention is also directed to a spinning reel frame formed by an extrusion.

Abstract: Furniture drive for displacing parts of a piece of furniture relative to one another, includes a linearly displaceable drive element for pivoting a pivot shaft that, when furniture drive is in a mounted position, is operatively connected to a part of the piece of furniture to be displaced, and drive element is connected in the manner of a crank mechanism via a rod-like power transmission element to pivot shaft, one end of which is connected to drive element in an articulated manner, however without displacing in the longitudinal direction of power transmission element, and other end of which is connected in an articulated manner to a crank pin of pivot shaft, the position and distance of coupling points of power transmission element on drive element and pivot shaft being selected such that power transmission element, during displacing movement, changes the angular position by more than 20°, preferably more than 40°.
