  • Patent number: 5241844
Abstract: A package stock device in which a plurality of package mounting shelves are arranged within a case through endless chain in such a way as they may be circulated and moved in it, and the case is formed with a supplying port and a discharging port so as to supply the packages onto the mounting shelves and discharge the packages from the shelves. The package stock device may be provided with a steam supplying means.

  • Patent number: 5156704
Abstract: A method of manufacturing structural elements in magnetic head air bearing sliders by etching. The invention forms transverse pressure contours on the edges of a slider air bearing surface by first forming slots in a slider blank adjacent the location where air bearing surfaces are to be formed. The slots are filled with an etchable material and the slider blank is machined to form air bearing structures. The etchable material is positioned so as to form a part of the side edge of the air bearing structure. The slider blank is then subjected to an etching process that principally etches the etchable material. By proper positioning and etching, the etchable material forms a transverse pressure contour on the side edge of the air bearing structure. The invention has other uses with respect to forming complex, high precision structures within a slider body. Any structure that can be formed by etching an etchable material away from the bulk material of the slider body can be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 5088522
Abstract: A pump hose for a peristaltic pump consists of two arcuate portions that merge along kink lines so that the undeformed hose lumen has the cross-sectional shape of a convex lens. The joinings of the arcuate portions are joined by outwardly extending ribs. When the hose is pressed, only minor squeezing occurs at the joinings. The hose has a considerably improved squeezing and restoring behavior. The ribs prevent an excessive squeezing.

  • Patent number: 4942799
Abstract: A tone generation system and method generates tone signals having complex harmonic components while reducing aliasing noise resulting from sampling of high frequency harmonics. In a first step, waveshape data which has been sampled with a second sampling frequency which is higher than a first sampling frequency is obtained. Then a predetermined tone synthesis modulation operation is performed, using this waveshape data as at least one of a signal to be modulated and a modulating signal. By performing this modulation operation in accordance with the higher second sampling frequency, occurrence of an aliasing component contained in a tone signal obtained as the output of the modulation operation in a frequency band below a frequency which is 1/2 of the first sampling frequency can be prevented. Then, the frequency band of the output signal of the modulation operation is limited to a frequency band below the frequency which is 1/2 of the first sampling frequency.
