Abstract: An amplifier device including an amplifier having an input for receiving an audio input signal and an output for sending an output signal to a load. A boosted-rail circuit is connected to a power source and has a single boosted rail connected to the BTL amplifier. Also, a common-mode circuit is coupled to the boosted-rail circuit and the BTL amplifier. The common-mode circuit sends a common-mode signal to the BTL amplifier that will dynamically track the output voltage supplied from the boosted-rail circuit to the BTL amplifier. In operation, the boosted-rail circuit reacts to the BTL amplifier and switches from a non-boost mode to a boost mode to increase the output voltage supplied to the BTL when the BTL amplifier requires additional voltage.

Abstract: The vehicle collision decision apparatus has first acceleration detectors and a second acceleration detector for detecting an acceleration of the vehicle in a longitudinal direction, and third acceleration detectors for detecting an acceleration of the vehicle in a transverse direction thereof. When the vehicle is involved in an offset collision, the front airbags of the vehicle are activated based on accelerations detected by the first acceleration detectors and the second acceleration detector. Thereafter, the curtain airbags of the vehicle are reliably activated.

Abstract: A support system includes a frame member and a cover magnetically coupled to one another proximate an edge of the cover and in an aligned state. The cover is rotatable with respect to the frame member without any structural coupling therebetween while the frame member and cover remain substantially in the aligned state. A method of supporting a cover with respect to a frame includes magnetically attracting the cover and frame to each other proximate an edge of the cover.
Abstract: A scrap metal recycling monitoring system, wherein a container, identified and of a known tare weight is associated with a scale while scrap metal is placed therein. The scale continuously monitors the weight of the container, and can be polled, or automatically produces an auditable data stream revealing the change in weight of the container over time as it is associated with the scale. A camera records the container while it is on the scale and also produces auditable image data. As containers near capacity, a notice is automatically generated to coordinate dispatch activities of persons transporting containers.

Abstract: A method for sending a notification message using a modified form of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) multicast notification system in a client-server architecture that otherwise allows only client initiated messages. The method includes: identifying information at a server that has potential for inclusion in a notification message; querying a database for a list of clients that have registered for a particular type of notification by a UDP broadcast processor; receiving a reply with a list of clients that have registered for a particular type of notification from the database; and sending notification to all clients on the list using an assigned port number from the UDP broadcast processor.
Abstract: A method is disclosed for implementing a modified form of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) multicast notification system in a client-server architecture that otherwise allows only client initiated messages. The method including: sending a registration message to a server from a client with a client IP address in the registration message, wherein the registration message includes types of notifications desired to be received by the client; adding the client IP address to a list in a registration message database; requesting a port number from the server by the client; and responding with the port number on which the client should listen by the server.
Abstract: A method for mass-production butchering of a chuck roll of beef includes: sectioning the beef clod into a first portion and a second portion substantially along a natural seam, the first portion comprising triceps brachii long head muscle and essentially being free of triceps brachii lateral head muscle, and the second portion comprising triceps brachii lateral head muscle and essentially being free of triceps brachii long head muscle; and sectioning the first portion generally with or parallel to the grain into a first set of separate portions. Another method for mass-production butchering of a beef clod may include: sectioning the beef clod into a first portion and a second portion substantially along a natural seam, the first portion comprising the teres major; and sectioning the first portion generally with or parallel to the grain into a first set of separate portions.
Abstract: Various systems, devices, NO2 absorbents, NO2 scavengers and NO2 recuperator for generating nitric oxide are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, an apparatus for converting nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide can include a receptacle including an inlet, an outlet, a surface-active material coated with an aqueous solution of ascorbic acid and an absorbent wherein the inlet is configured to receive a gas flow and fluidly communicate the gas flow to the outlet through the surface-active material and the absorbent such that nitrogen dioxide in the gas flow is converted to nitric oxide.
