  • Patent number: 7313077
Abstract: A ratio of an erase current and a peak current when starting recording is defined as K=iER/iPK (S1), and iER11 is set equal to K×iPK1, and an ideal value iER11 of an erase current that should be increased according to a temperature change is determined (S2). A value obtained by subtracting a current iBT at a bottom level emission intensity when starting recording from a current at an erase level emission intensity after the temperature rises is defined as iER1. By measuring this iER1, an ideal value iER11 of the erase current is subtracted from iER1, and the resultant current is defined as iBT11 (S3). This iBT11 is set as an adjustment value of the bottom current, and a value obtained by adding this adjustment value to a bottom current when starting recording is set as a bottom current after change.

  • Patent number: 7307944
Abstract: A despreading and RAKE combining section despreads a data portion using all spreading codes and RAKE combines the despread signal. An average value calculating section calculates RAKE output average power values of all spreading codes from the RAKE combining result. A threshold setting section sets a threshold value based on the RAKE output average values of the plurality of spreading codes allocated to the own station. A spreading code determining section performs threshold determination between a RAKE output average value obtained from the spreading codes, excepting the spreading codes allocated to the own station, and determines the spreading code, which corresponds to the RAKE output average value exceeding the threshold value, as the spreading code multiplexed into the received signal. This makes it possible to accurately estimate the spreading codes multiplexed into the received signal.

  • Patent number: 7305285
Abstract: A piloting device may include a section for generating control orders for the control surfaces acting on the yaw movement of an aircraft. A central unit determines an instruction to rotate the aircraft, based on control orders, and determines a global moment to be applied to the aircraft about the yaw axis so that the aircraft performs the rotation instruction. The central unit divides the global moment into a sum of elementary moments and computes, for each control surface, the instruction to be applied to its actuator so that the latter generates the associated elementary moment.

  • Patent number: 7298692
Abstract: MS receives a downlink signal transmitted based on a guard interval determined using a delay profile with high accuracy generated based on a CDMA uplink signal, and performs Fourier Transform processing on a preamble portion of the downlink signal to demodulate. Transmission parameters (guard interval, subcarrier frequency interval and the number of subcarriers) contained in the preamble portion are extracted and output to Fourier Transform section 303. The section 303 performs Fourier Transform processing on a data portion based on the extracted transmission parameters. Demodulation section 304 demodulates signals subjected to the Fourier Transform processing to output as received data. It is thereby possible to generate the delay profile with high accuracy to determine the guard interval, and to ensure transmission quality while improving the spectral efficiency.

Abstract: Wood products, specifically wood commonly used in construction including dimension lumber, pressure treated pine, composite wood materials such as plywood, particle board, and wafer board, and samples of paper and fabric were variously treated with concentrations of sodium silicate (Na2OSiO2) also known as water glass. Cellulosic materials including dimension lumber, plywood, particle board, wafer board, paper, and fabric were treated with sodium silicate (Na2O.SiO2) in concentrations ranging from 400-0.04 g Na2O.SiO2/kg water. To overcome the disadvantages of sodium silicate, sodium silicate treated samples were further treated to convert the water soluble sodium silicate to a water insoluble form, thereby overcoming the disadvantages of water solubility. and rendering the material effective for internal and external uses.

  • Patent number: 7295538
Abstract: A base station apparatus (radio transmission apparatus) transmits a radio signal of data to a mobile terminal apparatus (communication apparatus of a transmission destination). The mobile terminal apparatus receiving the radio signal determines (ST1010) information (CQI) on a downlink transmission rate enabling reception in the mobile terminal apparatus based on reception quality such as CIR to transmit to the base station apparatus. The base station apparatus extracts a CQI value from the received radio signal, while obtaining likelihood of received data (ST1020), and corrects the CQI value based on the likelihood (ST1030). Then, based on the corrected CQI value, the base station apparatus determines a downlink transmission rate (ST1040).
