Abstract: In a golf ball having on its surface a multiplicity of dimples, the dimples include a majority of large dimples with a diameter of 3.0 to 4.2 mm and account for at least 65% of the entire ball surface area. The large dimples have a depth of 0.1-0.35 mm, an edge angle of up to 30°, and a radius of curvature at the edge of 1-50 mm. Not only excellent flight performance is achieved, but the ball can be smoothly released from a mold at the end of molding.
Abstract: In a digital delay-locked loop circuit, a variable delay circuit for delaying an input signal and generating an output signal includes a first variable delay circuit for delaying the input signal with a first delay time changed at first intervals and a second variable delay circuit for delaying the input signal with a second delay time changed at second intervals smaller than the first intervals. A phase comparator compares the phase of a feedback signal derived from the output signal with the phase of said reference signal. A counter circuit controls the first and second delay times in accordance with a difference in phase between the feedback signal and the reference signal so that the difference in phase is brought close to zero.
Abstract: A light unit 1 for a vehicle has a driving-environment detecting device 2 for detecting information (the shape of the road, the position of the vehicle, whether or not oncoming and preceding vehicle exist, the traffic volume density and ambient luminous intensity) indicating a driving environment provided by a path through which a vehicle is driven. A mode determining device 3 determines a driving mode which is included in driving modes classified in accordance with combinations of information detected by the driving-environment detecting device 2 and which is dynamically changed when the driving environment is changed during driving of the vehicle. In accordance with an instruction signal supplied from the mode determining device 3 to an illumination control device 4 and corresponding to the driving mode, illumination which is performed by the light unit 5 is controlled.
Abstract: A semiconductor device including: a semiconductor substrate, and an interconnect made of a titanium silicide film overlying the semiconductor substrate, the titanium silicide film including at least one atom selected from the group consisting of phosphorus, arsenic and antimony at an average density between 5×1019 and 3×1020 atoms/cm3. Although the titanium silicide film is conventionally recognized to cause depletion of an underlying polysilicon and increase of a connected-polysilicon-plug resistance, these deficiencies can be suppressed by specifying the average density.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which contains phosphorus-free flame-retardant(s), has an excellent impact resistance, an excellent heat resistance as well as an excellent moldability, and can satisfy a severe flammability level. According to the present invention, there is provided a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin, (B) 0.01-5 parts by weight of an organic sulfonic acid metal salt, (C) 0.01-5 parts by weight of a fluorinated polyolefin, (D) 0.2-20 parts by weight of a diene-containing multi-layered polymer, and wherein the content of a phosphorus-containing flame-retardant is less than 0.5 parts by weight.

The remote participant hold selection mechanism is operable to place at least one of the other participants on hold, during a videoconference call among a hold-activating participant and a plurality of other participants. The remote participant disconnection mechanism is operable by a participant teleconference call among the participant and a plurality of the other participants without disconnecting the remaining participants.

Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic tunnel junction device for an external magnetic field sensor. The device comprises a stack of multi-layers, which include a first antiferromagnetic pinning layer, a ferromagnetic free layer, a tunneling barrier layer, a ferromagnetic pinned layer, and a second antiferromagnetic pinning layer. The first pinning layer has a first pinning field, which pins a magnetization of the free layer in a track width direction. The second pinning layer has a second pinning field, which pins a magnetization of the pinned layer in a direction in the plane of the stacked layers of the magnetic tunnel junction, along the applied external magnetic field direction.
Abstract: A gel layer retained in a retaining member 15, such as non-woven fabric, is placed on one side of an electrode element 1. The electrode element 1 is held by a flexible and extendable tape 11, and the tape 11 adheres to a biological surface tissue. When being plastered onto the biological surface tissue, the tape 11 is covered with cover films 12 and 13, thereby preventing occurrence of a kink in the tape 11. After the tape 11 has been attached to the biological surface tissue, a butt-joined portion between two sub-divisions constituting a cover film 12 is exfoliated to the outside, thus preventing removal of the tape 11.

The ink cartridge to be replaced is specified, and only the specified ink cartridge is automatically moved to a replaceable position. Abstract: In a semiconductor memory device production method for a semiconductor memory device having a capacitor formed by a high dielectric insulation film and a noble metal upper electrode successively formed on a noble metal lower electrode, the formation of the capacitor is followed by anneal in a gas mixture atmosphere of oxygen concentration of 0 to 5% and nitrogen at temperature of 300 to 400 degrees C. This enables to reduce the leak current at room temperature and suppress leak current increase during a high temperature operation.
