Abstract: Sensors in a vehicle seat provide data for classifying occupants. Information from the sensors may be used to determine the position of an occupant relative to the seat and relative to the vehicle, the weight of the occupant, whether the seat belt is latched, and the position of the occupant relative to an airbag before and during a crash. Situations wherein airbag deployment is not desired are identified. A particularly inexpensive system meets the occupant classification needs of a system comprising a low risk deployment passenger airbag.

Abstract: This invention has the potential to generate very good return on investments from stocks that are conservative in movement. This invention will greatly benefit investors that do not have the time to constantly trade stock yet want to take advantage of normal price fluctuations. The Limit Order Coupled LinK (LOCK) invention, for example, will take a buy order, complete the transaction at the specified price, then automatically resubmits a new order to sell at a specified higher price. If specified, the process can automatically cycle through the buy-sell process a set number of time allowing the investor to take advantage of intra-day market moves and normal stock price fluctuations with no personal investor evolvement. The LOCK order, with set profit margins, allows on-line traders and brokers to place one order, which will automatically generate logical, sequenced additional orders returning a profit on each transaction. LOCK will benefit both the investor and the stock trading company.

Abstract: A business process is disclosed whereby the driver of a motor vehicle receives conditional treatment from an external organization based on his or her driving habits as recorded by a speed detection and logging system on the driver's vehicle and then transmitted to the organization. A government organization may provide a provisional or probationary license allowing a driver to operate a vehicle while the driver's driving habits meet certain requirements. An automobile insurance company may use this process to adjust insurance rates for a driver. A rental car company may use this process to offer lower rental rates and/or lower insurance rates to good drivers. A company employing professional drivers may use this process to monitor its drivers. Logs of driving habits, which may take into account weather conditions, may be shown using a map display in order to provide feedback regarding a driver's driving behavior.

The RCG does this by employing packetized data with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies combined with RF communications technologies. A key consideration to the design of the RCG is that no additional or special transmission equipment must be installed at the Central Office or anywhere else in the network to enable new calling features provided by the RCG as is the case with DSL and Cable systems. By eliminating the requirement for costly infrastructure enhancements, ubiquitous high speed communications and services can be deployed to every POTS subscriber.

Abstract: A highly efficient luminaire is provided. The luminaire includes a light source that emits light. The emitted light is redirected by a light transformer having a curved circular reflective interior surface, the reflective interior surface reflecting the light in a predetermined pattern. A substantial amount of light being may be reflected close to an axis coincident with a radial line defining a radius of the circular reflective interior surface. Additionally, a substantial amount of light may be reflected in a pattern with low divergency or parallel with an axis of the light transformer. The light is transmitted to the exterior of the luminaire by an optical window.

Abstract: A bottle holder is provided for holding wine bottles or other types of bottles in a vertical or horizontal position. The bottle holder can be mounted to a wall or underneath a cabinet in a kitchen. The bottle holder has a rectangular base with circular openings for holding the wine bottles by their necks. The feet of the bottle holder use a universal key hole mount for ease of installation. The bottle holder is made from one piece of material, preferably metal, and is durable, stable and non-corrosive.

The optical module has at least one light emitting diode (LED) that emits light with a wide divergence, a non-imaging optical element and a transparent window. The non-imaging optical element (NIO) has a refractive member located around a LED optical axis and a total internal reflection member located around the refractive member. The refractive member and the total internal reflection member are integrated in a single transparent element having a mutual focal point. The NIO element collects a significant amount of light emitted by the LED with wide divergence located at the focal point to compress the collected light with high efficiency into a required pattern with a generally different angular distribution in a horizontal plane and a vertical plane, and to direct the compressed light outside of the luminaire.
