Abstract: An internal combustion electrical circuit breaker comprising at least one: (a) insulating cylinder; (b) pair of electrical conductors penetrating the cylinder approximately perpendicular to its longitudinal axis at a distance from both cylinder's plane sides; (c) conducting hollow piston contacting the conductors and an insulating pipe at its open portion, which pipe extends within that axis and penetrates the cylinder's first plane side; (d) arcing chamber extending from that plane side to the conductors; (e) pair of arcing blades within the arcing chamber at a distance from the conductors, piston and pipe; (f) valves within the pipe and first plane side, communicating with the arcing chamber and hollow piston; (g) combustion chamber extending from the piston's closed portion to the cylinder's second plane side; and (h) ignition, gas injection and valve means within the plane side and communicating with the combustion chamber.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine comprising at least one flexible cylinder or semicylinder (chamber) formed from (a) at least one flexible, rectangular sheet attached to a rotor, which in turn is connected to a rotatable shaft, and (b) a pair of parallel end plates contacting the sheet's end surfaces and the engine's housing, which plates contain inlet and exhaust ports (valves) for gases and/or liquids, fuel injectors and spark- or glowplugs as well, and the cylinder's volume is periodically varied by at least one roller contacting the flexible sheet's curved surface at radial distances smaller and up to the rotor's (or chamber's) radius, thereby forcing the gases out, or into the flexible cylinder or semicylinder via the ports, respectively.

Abstract: A cheap, compact container for cold-storing beverage or food cans and/or bottles, comprising: (a) a pair of symmetrical, heat-insulating solid blocks with a plurality of semicylindrical indentations therein, spaced at a distance from each other and the boundaries of the blocks; (b) at least one heat-conducting solid foil continuously lining a part of the indentations in either block; (c) at least one heat-absorbing can within an indentation of either block; and (d) fastening means for connecting both blocks so that cylindrical chambers are maintained therein.

As the compounds reduce the excessive sodium retention and potassium excretion induced by aldosterone, they are especially useful as the active ingredient in pharmaceutical preparations for alleviating diseases involving hyperaldosteronismus in man and other warm-blooded animals.

Abstract: The invention relates to the preparation of polyhalogenated pregnane derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents fluorine or chlorine and R a free or esterified hydroxyl group or chlorine. The new compounds display a high antiinflammatory activity. No side action on the thymus, the body weight or the adrenals can be detected at the therapeutic dose when the compounds are administered topically. The new compounds are therefore particularly suitable for use as medicaments in dermatology.The new compounds can be prepared according to methods known in the art, e.g. by introducing the chlorine atom in 2-position of corresponding compounds which are non chlorinated in this position, or by the introduction of the halogen atom in 9-position starting from the 9,11.beta.-epoxide or the 9,11-dehydro-compound or by acetonization of the 16,17-dihydroxy group or by replacing a 21-hydroxy group by chlorine.
