Abstract: A modified football helmet has an inner cap attached by elastic straps to the inside of the helmet shell providing a space above the cap. The helmet is further modified incorporating a rigid collar extending outwardly from the bottom of the helmet which has a lower surface positioned a distance above two upright post members extending upwardly from the rigid shoulder pads.
Abstract: A point of sale printer ink cartridge includes a mobius loop endless ribbon with at least two ply of woven twisted nylon fabric sealed along lengthwise edges with or without a third ink absorbing layer interposed between the two ply of nylon yielding synergistic ink capacity increases, long print life, long ribbon durability, and increased butt weld strength of the ends of the ribbon.
Abstract: A device to facilitate the use of extraction discs used in analysis of water impurities includes a cylindrical body with a top cavity to receive the extraction disc with a threaded ring holder to hold an open bottom container sealed on the extraction disc with a valve to selectively channel flow from the extraction disc into three downward passages, two of which open through the bottom into wash and elute sample containers and a third to a tube that opens into a large collection container sealably attached to the bottom of the body around the smaller containers with a vacuum passage through the bottom of the body into the large container controlled by a valve. The body has two parallel slots On opposite sides of the body to engage into cut outs of a rack panel supported above a housing with a slanted top wall with elliptical holes cut to receive the collection container and support it sticking out of the housing.
Abstract: Depth matting in the form of rigid thermoplastic foam bevel board is cut with a device to form a forty-five degree angled surface on one end facing away from a front surface of the bevel board which has a lengthwise edge forty-five degree angle bevel face used to provide depth between standard mats and the framed picture. A cutting device is provided holding the bevel board on its edge against a vertical wall with a vertical slot through which a knife edge is forced downwardly through the slot and the bevel board. The beveled surface on the end of the cut bevel board panel is abutted against the lengthwise edge beveled surface of the adjoining bevel board panel at each corner of the standard mat and attached to the rear surface of that mat.
Abstract: A device and method is provided for molding parallel waves extending outwardly from the person's scalp. The device includes a band attached tightly around the person's head with a plurality of flexible members attached and extending from one side of the person's head over the hair to the other side of the head and attached to the band wherein the flexible members are held tightly against the person's hair that is combed rearwardly from the forehead hair line. The flexible members are pushed downwardly against the hair and forwardly back toward the hair line forming a wave in front of each member.

Abstract: A device and method for injecting fluids into a self-lubricating ocular prosthesis with an orifice to a bore opening into a chamber to hold the fluid, the device including a compressible container to hold the fluid, with a hollow tubular nozzle with a pointed end tip that seats it into the orifice such that a seal is accomplished to allow squirting the fluid into the one-half millimeter orifice.
Abstract: A quonset type hut house unit includes a skeletal structure of a pair of "L" frame lengthwise base members with a multiplicity of vertical tubular members with an open top and bottom with a multiplicity of preformed steel arch shaped rib members with ends engaged in the vertical tubular members, end walls of reinforced plastic sections coupled together and to the skeletal structure through inwardly extending flanges and a cover sheet formed of a plurality of structured integral panels that include two face sheets spaced apart by a multiplicity of webs bent over the rib members and attached to the skeletal frame.
Abstract: A method of installing a ventilation device through existing plywood door closures of accesses to attic spaces with roof fans in homes includes a frame with louvers across a central opening closed by two doors hingeably attached to be opened and closed with a hook rod interconnecting with eye bolts on the doors, the entire device being insulated to reduce heat loss during the cooler seasons.
Abstract: An auxiliary device attachable to a bicycle to aid in learning the stunt known as "popping wheelies" balance on the rear wheel of the bicycle, the device including a rearwardly extending support frame, a rear frame pivotally attached at one end to the support frame and pivotally attached at the other end to a member that is lengthwise adjustably attached to the support frame with a pair of wheels on an axle flexibly attached to the rear frame.
Abstract: A safety cart for use by repair persons along a travelled highway is constructed of heavy steel plate to carry cones, flags, and an illuminated sign from the repair vehicle up the road to warn approaching motorists of the work site. The cart is carried to the site while attached to the front of the repair vehicle and a support device is attached to the front of the vehicle which tilts down out of the way of the forwardly tilting engine hood. The cart includes a pivoting handle which pivots to bring an engaging rod upwardly to a height of mounting slots in the supporting device on the vehicle. The handle is then used as a lever to lift the safety cart upwardly to abut the support device on the vehicle to be releasably interlocked on the support device.
Abstract: A method of coding gifts including a set of stickers all with one symbol which are attached to gifts with a card given to the child identifying the symbol and indicating that all gifts with that symbol belong to that child. Clue cards are used to allow the child to locate the identifying card and colored filter decoders are used to uncover the symbol on camouflaged stickers.
Abstract: A hand operated can crushing apparatus installed on a vertical wall or on top of a storage container to crush individual cans and allow them to drop into the storage container using an apparatus with a housing that includes an inside channel to crush the cans between a moving piston surface and an end of the housing with the force applied by a handle that is pivotally connected to a rear end of the housing to pivot downwardly above the housing forcing the piston member to slide lengthwise in the channel. Force against the piston member is first applied through a convex cam surface extending frontwardly from a rear end of the handle member against a rotating wheel cam follower and then through a lever connected at one end to a median position on the handle and at the other end to the piston member with the connecting apparatus of the lever delaying the effect of that lever until the piston movement has moved the cam follower wheel out of range of the cam surface.
