Abstract: A portable personal training and exercise device having a base assembly, a pole assembly and cable and pulley assembly. The base assembly has a tilt mechanism for holding the pole assembly in different orientations. The cable and pulley assembly is attached to the pole assembly and has two coaxial pulleys rotatably mounted on a common single stationary shaft. Each pulley is spring biased for rewinding a cord onto the pulley. The cable and pulley assembly also has a tension adjustment unit for adjusting the resistance of the pulleys, and two multi-direction guide units mounted on the housing of the cable and pulley assembly for allowing the pulley cords to be pulled in multiple directions with reduced friction. A user may pull the cords of the pulleys for exercising various muscles of the user and adjust the resistance force of the cords at an appropriate level suitable to the user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed where a musical system is integrated with an outdoor seating apparatus, such that a user may rest comfortably while listening to music. The musical system is designed to withstand outdoor weather conditions. The musical system, typically a radio, is integrated with the backrest portion of the seating apparatus. The radio is designed to function in both extreme hot and cold temperatures. The radio also features RCA inputs, so that external signal inputs may be played on the radio's speakers. A cellular modem and interface is present so that a computer can connect to the Internet. An adapter is also present so a cell phone can connect to the radio, and use the radio's speakers. The speakers can be magnetic coil based, or may use flat panel speaker technology.

Abstract: A support device that provides support to selected regions of a human body, such as the back, hips, upper thighs and groin areas. The support device comprises an undergarment or bodysuit which is adapted to be disposed against the person's body and extends from the thorax just below the chest) down to the upper thighs. A support belt is positioned at the loin, hips, and abdomen areas of a wearer and secured thereto by a detachable attachment. Two opposite lateral portions extend downwardly from the support belt and secured to the upper thighs of the wearer by detachable attachments. The detachable attachments are adjustable so as to allow the tension against the person's body according to the wearer's preferences.

Abstract: An optical battery recharger for recharging batteries of an electrical or electronic appliance. The recharger includes an internal unit built integrally within the appliance. The internal unit has one or more photovoltaic receptors connected to a battery charging circuit for converting optical power to electrical power to recharge the batteries. The recharger also has an external unit which has a solid-state light source connected to and powered by an electrical power source, a lens for focusing the light emitted from the light source, possibly through an aperture, onto the photovoltaic receptors, and a receptacle for aligning the photovoltaic receptor to the light source of said external unit when the recharger is used to recharge the batteries.

Abstract: The removable wheel well obstructor serves as a stable platform for supporting the beads of a flat tire, thereby resulting in a controlled run-flat tire capability. The obstructor is used for obstructing the interior of an annular wheel well of a wheel rim, wherein the wheel well has a predetermined radial depth. The obstructor includes a two-piece annular band of inextensible material of a predetermined axial width, a thickness which is substantially less than the depth of the wheel well and is adapted to circumferentially surround the wheel well, and is provided with an opening through its circumference. A plurality of snap-on frusto-cone shaped shims of a predetermined height are radially and inwardly attached to and spaced around the circumference of the band and are adapted to be received into the wheel well depth. A plurality of height adjusters are respectively attachable to the plurality of snap-on shims for further accommodating a plurality of different radial depths of wheel well.

Abstract: A vent check strip for checking a dryer or a vent pipe connected to a dryer. The vent check strip has a temperature sensitive area that changes its color at a threshold temperature within a working temperature range of the dryer when the dryer functions normally. The vent check strip can be placed inside the dryer or the vent pipe so that after the dryer is turned on to perform its normal drying function for a period of time until the dryer reaches the working temperature range, the vent check strip can be retrieved for examination. If the vent check strip does not change its color, then it indicates that the dryer is malfunction or the vent pipe is clogged, kinked, broken or otherwise damaged and needs to be serviced.

Abstract: The present invention is a holder for retaining documents which are necessary to board a means of public transportation, and which holder enables the documents to be retained in a manner wherein the documents can be easily verified by an examining agent and removed from the holder by the examining agent, while at the same time enabling the holder to be worn around a user's neck so that the user's hands are free to carry objects. The holder consists of a retaining body having a closed bottom and closed sidewalls and an open top so that an airline ticket can be retained in the open top so that it is readily accessible to be removed by the ticket agent at the time the passenger boards the airplane.

Abstract: A hold-down and release apparatus for a flight termination system having a terminal portion for holding-down and releasing a structural object which has an arrangement for attaching to the flight termination system. The hold-down and release apparatus includes several movable clamping segments provided on the terminal portion of the flight termination system that are engageable in a complimentary fashion with the attachment arrangement on the structural object for releasably attaching the structural object to the flight termination system. The hold-down and release apparatus also includes springs for biasing the movable clamping segments means in a disengaging direction that causes the clamping segments to disengage from the attachment arrangement on the structural object to release the structural object from the flight termination system.

Abstract: A pair of dual complementary optics having a first lens and a second lens wherein the first lens has a gradient of a multiplicity of bands, the uppermost series of bands having a primary color embedded therein and the lowermost series of bands having a complementary secondary color embedded therein, the second lens having the inverse color embedded therein so that a primary color in the first lens is aligned with a secondary color in the second lens and a secondary color in the first lens is aligned with a primary color in the second lens. Each lens is darkest on top and lightest on the bottom. Each lens transmits more than 50% visible light in both wavelength ranges 440-550 nm and 550-750 nm.

Abstract: A utility lighter with improved child safety device, having a handle portion and a nozzle portion, a fuel tank contained in the handle portion for supplying fuel, a valve assembly contained in the handle portion and connected to the fuel tank for controlling the supply of the fuel, and a trigger movably mounted to the handle portion for actuating upon the valve assembly such that when the trigger is actuated, the valve assembly is opened to release fuel from the fuel tank to an outlet port of the nozzle portion.
