Abstract: The biological information measuring system of this invention applies rectangular voltage pulses across at least a pair of electrodes attached to the surface of a living body, obtains, through the analysis of a transient current flowing across electrodes, current waveform parameters representing an equation approximating the waveform of the transient current, and calculates equivalent circuit parameters representing an electrical equivalent circuit across the electrodes. Using at least one type of these parameters as biological information, abnormality of the living body is detected.
Abstract: A tool provided with a head tapering stepwise toward a front side. Each step of the head has a cylindrical area for calibrating a pipe end and, joining it, a conical area for deburring the pipe end. Each step of the head corresponds to a usual pipe size. When the head is pushed into a pipe end to be processed, the pipe end is first calibrated and subsequently deburred in one operation. The pipe end is centered in relation to the longitudinal axis of the head due to the calibration at the cylindrical area, which guarantees accurate deburring at the conical area. Each conical area has a plurality of cutting edges, which are formed by chip grooves. The tool is especially suitable for preparing pressed connections on composite pipes.
Abstract: The monoazo compound represented by formula I is excellent in compatibility with, solubility in, and coloring power for, almost all water-immiscible organic liquids, has a low melting point, and is suitable for use to color molten plastics, synthetic fiber spinning solutions, etc., and to color thermal transfer ink. ##STR1## wherein R represents sec-butyl; Cp represents a coupling component residue. The dense solution of at least one kind of said monoazo compound in a hydrocarbon solvent diffuses and dissolves quickly and uniformly in coloring subjects such as petroleum products, and is capable of coloring fuel oil etc. to a desired distinguishable color density with small amounts.
Abstract: A rotor is provided wherein an rotor core and a jacket cooperate to provide a continuous variation of area left for fluid transit. This continuous variation of area left for fluid transit produces a continuous axial acceleration of fluid and provides a first pressure gradient. The invention also provides simultaneously for blades having a continuously varying angle provided in the area left for fluid transit and causing a second pressure gradient. The varying of the fluid transit area and the angle of the blade are designed to have the first and second pressure gradients to be complementary and maintain the pressure of the fluid substantially constant. Such a continuous varying angle of inclination of the blades provides a continuous angular acceleration of the fluid and corresponding torque. The blades of continuously varying angle of inclination rotate together with the rotor core producing the torque.
Abstract: A window including sliding and pivoted panes with a first lateral section and a second lateral section. An upper U-shape guide with a detachable leaf and a lower U-shape guide with a detachable leaf are provided. Central separating sections are positioned in the lower U-shaped guide. The central separating sections are removable from the lower U-shape guide, the panes sliding in the upper U-shaped guide and the lower U-shaped guide on each side of the separating section. Inserted sections are provided connected to each of upper and lower edges of the pane, each of the inserted sections have rolling components and have a semi-shaft movable between a retracted position within one of the inserted sections and a protruded position. Each of the guides have drilled holes for receiving the semi-shaft in the protruded position. A device is provided for moving the semi-shaft between the retracted position and the protruded position.
Abstract: A distribution device, in particular for the main distribution of telephone and data lines, includes a distribution rack, a distribution frame, and a pivotable frame, for terminating the system side and the subscriber side. Jumper possibilities and the adaptation to the possibilities of computer-controlled exchange systems are improved by disposing the subscriber side and the system side-by-side in a modular manner on a profile frame, and building them up vertically above each other to frame rows disposed side-by-side.
Abstract: A device for storing the single and bundle wires (16 or 5, respectively) of glass-fiber cables in distributor devices of telecommunication and data systems, comprising a casing (24), at least one cassette box pivotably mounted in the casing, and a splice cassette (10) mounted therein, is intended to be improved such that with a simplified construction of the cassette box and of the splice cassette (10), a break-proof support of the single and bundle wires (16 or 5, respectively) is permitted. For this purpose the cassette box is formed of a support plate cassette (10) and provided with a slot (12) for passing the single and/or bundle wires (16,5) through and with members located on both side faces for supporting the single or bundle wires (16, 5) respectively.
Abstract: Improved paddle mixer, including a stationary drum solid to a support frame, with a vertical shaft engaged with a motor-reducer unit and provided with a plurality of transverse arms to each of which at least a paddle is fixedly or otherwise rotatively connected, wherein each of the paddles, being fixed with respect to the relevant support arms, is made up of two like plates disposed at the free end of the corresponding arm and between which a rubber element is interposed so that, by the rotation of the shaft, that is, during the blending of the materials introduced inside the drum, the rubber element provides for scraping the side or respectively bottom wall of the drum.
Abstract: A mounting for a shift lever (1) for the mechanical remote control of a selector shaft of a gear change box in motor vehicles, in which the shift lever (1) is mounted pivotably around a selection axis and around a shifting axis, which is at right angles thereto, by means of a spherical part (2) of a universal joint in a bearing box (4) in a housing (3) that is a rigid part of the body, and is connected by coupling members (7, 16) to a sliding selector shaft of a gear change box. The coupling members for transmitting the movement of the shift lever to the sliding selector shaft are connected, articulated around an axle (9, 12) each, to the spherical part (2) of a universal joint, wherein the axle extends in one pivoting plane of the shift lever (1) at right angles to the pivot axis of the shift lever in the other direction of pivoting.
Abstract: A case for passive optical components such as glass fibers, couplers and splices permits a reception for couplers and splices while maintaining the common mounting dimensions, and which guarantees a clear, service-friendly and safe guiding of the glass fibers while maintaining the minimum bending radii. At one front side 4 of the lower case portion 2 there are provided strain-relieved individual guide portions 5, 6 for the glass fibers and an S-shaped or diagonal groove 20 integrated in the bottom 10. The receiving portions 12, 13 for couplers 45 and for splices 46 are formed by guide portions 24, 33 connected with the bottom 10. Between the side walls 27, 35 and the receiving portions 12, 13 there are provided fiber guide channels 26, 36 for achieving the required reserve lengths. In the area of the receiving portions 12, 13, transversely to the parallel guiding portion 24 of the couplers 45 and of the splices 46 are included through-passing lift-off openings 30, 38 in the bottom 10.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a thermoelastic connection of a hot gas-carrying injector tube (8) to the flame tube (1) suspended in the combustion chamber housing (10) of a gas turbine. The injector tube (8) is connected by corrugated spacers (7) to a circumferential intermediate ring (6), which is attached to the lower flange of the flame tube (1) by detachable fastening elements (3, 4, 5). A circumferential cooling channel (annular space 15), into which cooling air is admitted, is formed between the cone of the injector tube (8) and the intermediate ring (6). The compressor air enters the combustion space (1, 8) of the combustion chamber (10) through the annular space (15) from below, as well as through the holes (11), especially through the circumferential gap (12).
