Abstract: A backplane communication system based on CSMA/CD protocol including a plurality of communication nodes and method of encoding/decoding data via backplane bus. Each communication node (1) has transmit and receive data links (2,3) connected to the backplane bus (8) via an encoder/decoder (4,5) and also has a transmitter/receiver (6,7) whereby all data transmitted by any node may be passed to the backplane bus and between all communication nodes. Each node is synchronized by the backplane clock (9), so that data may be transmitted and received by the communication nodes via the backplane bus in a synchronous mode. The encoder/decoder provides for detecting a collision on the backplane bus as well as for passing slot identification information between communication nodes.
Abstract: Stereo multi-vision scope with a pair of visual corn type tubes having an ocular portions and a pair of objects portions such as a conventional binocular type.The ocular portions have not optical lens and the objects portions have multi-image lenses to make a multitude of stereo visual image for viewing distant objects through it.The corn type tubes also have extension and shortening structure to control their respective distance or width in a horizontal state or position.
Abstract: A tile for paving and floor and wall covering comprises a substantially flat body with a polygonal periphery with plural recess and different parallel sides opposite to one another. The tile is juxtaposed by fitting it together with identical tiles in a first orientation to completely cover a surface or a second orientation to define free spaces of substantially identical size and width. The orientation is selectively preestablished according to tile sides to be joined.
Abstract: A container door (2) pivotable around a hinge (3) for closing a container for an oxygen supply unit of an airplane is provided with high rigidity to warping at the lowest possible weight. To accomplish this task, the container door (2) is provided with a profile-like reinforcing element (8) extending over at least part of the door edge (7) and with webs (9) connecting the door edges (7), which have fastening structure (11, 12, 13, 15) on the container door (2) and/or the door edge (7).

Abstract: A container 3 contains fluid to be applied to human hair. A plunger 5 is movably mounted in the container 3 and moves the fluid towards a dispenser and of the housing. An expulsion base is mounted on the dispenser end of the housing. This expulsion base defines a plurality of container channels. A removable dispenser head is mounted on the expulsion base and the dispenser then defines a plurality of head channels. These head channels are substantially aligned with the container channels at one end of the dispenser head. The head channels are distributed along another end of the dispenser head. A spreading device is positioned at the another end of the dispenser head and receives fluid from the dispenser head and spreads out the fluid on the hair.

Abstract: The invention provides a hydraulic shock absorber for controlling an attenuating force in a very low speed range and a medium or high speed range of the speed of a piston. A leaf valve for the high speed range and another leaf valve for the medium or high speed range are disposed for opening and closing movement at an exit end of a port formed in a partition wall member such as the piston. The leaf valve for the low speed range is supported at a rear face of an inner peripheral portion thereof for up and down floating movement on an upper face of a valve stopper. In the medium or high speed range, the leaf valve for the low speed range is deflected to move the inner peripheral portion thereof floatingly, which prevents the leaf valve from being deflected excessively and hence prevents a possible break of the leaf valve.

Abstract: A method for winding coils on a Y-connection armature for miniature motors, the motor typically including an armature iron core of a multi-pole construction, a commutator and a common terminal plate. Each of the commutator and the common terminal plate are disposed in a mutually insulated state on an insulating cylinder fixedly fitted to an armature shaft. A plurality of coils are wound on the armature iron core. Lead wires of the coils are connected to tongues of the commutator and the common terminal plate. Ends of the lead wires wound on the coils, other than the last coil, are extended across a predetermined commutator tongue and a tongue of the common terminal plate adjacent to the commutator tongue without being cut. The lead wire is connected to the tongues of the commutator tongue and the common terminal plate. Subsequently, the lead wire which is disposed across the commutator tongue and the common terminal plate tongue is cut.
Abstract: The present invention has for its object to provide a planar MOS-controlled thyristor of improved main thyristor turn-ON characteristics and a vertical MOS-controlled thyristor of improved main thyristor turn-ON characteristics and increased integration density. In the planar MOS-controlled thyristor a p-channel MOSFET for turning OFF the main thyristor and an n-channel MOSFET for turning it ON are provided in an integrated form and a channel is provided between the cathode region and a high resistance layer. The current in the channel can be controlled by the base or gate potential through utilization of the J-FET or static induction effect. In the vertical MOS-controlled thyristor a vertical p-channel MOSFET for turning OFF the main thyristor and a vertical n-channel MOSFET for turning it ON are provided in an integrated form and a base layer or channel is provided between the cathode region and a high resistivity layer.

Abstract: A grinding machine for grinding tripods of constant velocity couplings allows execution of circular or elliptical profiles on each tripod stem. A piece holder has means for supporting the tripod, which means allows bringing into a working position a new stem without need of removing the tripod from the holder. The precise execution of the elliptical profile is obtained by rocking the workhead, to which the piece holder is fastened, by means of a piezolectric transducer.
Abstract: An apparatus for the thermal pre-fixing of stockings directly from a circular knitting machine has a cylindrical treatment chamber with an inlet valve and an outlet valve and is connected to a hosiery knitting machine through a conduit an to a suction conduit to transfer the stockings. The chamber has a blade valve for the admission of air during the expulsion of the treated stockings, a by-pass conduit connected to each end of the chamber with the interposition of a valve, an optical sensor upstream of the treatment chamber for detecting the arrival of a stocking and a heat exchanger to heat the treatment air.

A variable damping force damper U having at least two change-over modes including a mode in which the compression side damping force is soft when the extension side damping force is hard and another mode in which the compression side damping force is hard when the extension side damping force is soft is interposed between a vehicle body D and a wheel E. The variable damping force damper U is changed over by means of an acceleration sensor J mounted on the vehicle body D and a controller M including an integrator P for converting a signal from the acceleration sensor J into a velocity signal and a calculation processing circuit Q for outputting a changing over signal to the variable damping force damper U in accordance with the velocity signal from the integrator P.

Abstract: A gas mask and breathing equipment with a breathing mask with a respiration gas outlet and a respiration gas inlet, to which a breathing bag as well as a filter and a fan are connected. The fan is designed to deliver ambient air through the filter and into the breathing mask. A volume sensor is arranged on the breathing bag and is connected to a fan control to reduce the delivery output of the fan with increasing volume of the breathing bag. So that only the absolutely necessary amount of ambient air will have to be delivered through the filter, an air distributing valve (12), is controlled via a valve control means (17) and an actuator (14) as a function of the signal of a carbon dioxide sensor connected to the respiration gas inlet (2). The exhaled air is directed from the respiration gas outlet (3) predominantly into the environment when the carbon dioxide content is above a predeterminable limit value, and predominantly into the breathing bag (7) when the carbon dioxide content is below the limit value.
