  • Patent number: 5293865
Abstract: An anesthetics monitoring device includes an anesthetic vaporizer, from which the anesthetic can be supplied to a setting device supplying dosed amounts of anesthetic to an anesthetics device for dispensing the anesthesia to a patient. The device has a coding for the unmistakable assignment of the setting device to the type of anesthetic used. An automatic recognition of the anesthetic used and a setting to a metering and control unit for dispersing the anesthetic is guaranteed. Any incorrect metering and incorrect setting is prevented. For this purpose, the coding is brought into an operative connection with a receiver provided between the setting device and the anesthetics dispersing device. The receiver is equipped with a scanning apparatus which is connected to the metering and control dispensing unit by means of signal transfer lines.

  • Patent number: 5292194
Abstract: A device for preparing liquid to thin pulpy media having an inner chamber 1 is substantially symmetrical about longitudinal axis, and the inner chamber has a neck end and a passage end. An outer circumference of the inner chamber tapers down from the passage and to the neck end. An outer chamber surrounds the inner chamber, and the outer chamber is also substantially symmetrical about the longitudinal axis. The outer chamber communicates with the inner chamber through an opening in the neck of the inner chamber, and an opening in the passage end of the inner chamber. A centrifuge wheel is positioned inside the outer chamber and outside the inner chamber. The centrifuge wheel has an intake pipe extending from a center of the centrifuge wheel, and this intake pipe extends into the neck opening of the inner chamber. • Patent number: 5291925
Abstract: An isolating chamber (1) with an annular connector (5) defines an access opening with one dimension greater than that perpendicular thereto and with an internal wall (5A) of constant section to allow the hermetic sliding of successive closure pieces (7,7X) which have a closure membrane (14,14X), and an annular cutting device (9B) for the membrane and for another membrane joined thereto. Each transfer machine (3) has a passageways slot and a closure membrane (22). The two membranes are designed to adhere to each other during the joining up of the two confined volumes (1,3) and are cut by the annular cutting device (9B) to define a discoid (D) with two at least peripherally joined thicknesses. The discoid can be removed into one of the confined volumes to provide the passage between the two the confined volumes; a subsequent uncut closure piece (7X) can be installed in the connector (5) from the interior of the isolating chamber (1), in order to replace the previous closure piece (7) which thus can be removed.

  • Patent number: 5289558
Abstract: The invention relates to a switching assembly for glass fiber cables of the telecommunication and data technology field, and in particular to a glass fiber cable partitioning and terminal rack. The rack 1 includes a frame 3 supported by the rack 1. The frame 3 includes a jumper field 29 for glass fiber cable cores 8, 9 and at least one magazine 16 or 17 provided with slide-in openings 18 for splice cassettes 19. In similar prior art switching assemblies of this type, there is poor accessibility to the incoming and outgoing glass fiber cable cores 8, 9, thereby a high risk of breakage occurs during assembly, in particular when splicing. For avoiding these disadvantages, the invention provides that the frame 3 is supported at the rack 1 pivotally about a vertical axis 26, and that at the frame 3, a jumper field 29 with a patch field 6, 7 for the incoming and outgoing glass fiber cable cores 8,9 is accessible from the front 4 and from the back 5 of the frame 3.
