  • Patent number: 8205425
Abstract: A method for producing a multidirectional contexture made of fibers, in particular carbon fibers, in which a unidirectional contexture web is wound at an angle about a plate to form a coil, wherein the plate is provided with a device for compensating friction, and the coil is pulled off from the plate. In order to provide improved pulling of the fibers off a plate a cascade guide is being used, which is disposed at the end of the plate and which comprises a laterally extended wedge.

  • Patent number: 8175998
Abstract: A method for valuating an object is disclosed, which includes an expert system that determines a value for a rule from the features of the object, weights the value with a weight from [0, 1] and valuates the object based on the value with a rule editor for defining rules for the valuation with one respective weight from [0, 1]; a rule module for determining a value per rule from the features and a valuation module are also disclosed for valuating the object based on the values, wherein the valuation module weights each value determined for a rule with the weight associated with the rule; and in a simplified manner, the expert system determines temporal progressions of the weight in an evolutionary algorithm, commencing with a start value, and selects a limit of the weight as a new weight, when the weight is converging, and the evolution module determines temporal progressions of at least one weight in an evolutionary algorithm selecting a new weight based on a converging behavior of the characteristics.

  • Patent number: 8130397
Abstract: A method is disclosed on the one hand for transmitting a color extraction, defining positions of pixels of a print color to be deposited onto a print sheet in a print run, in order to produce a print product, from a prepress system to a press system, and on the other hand a management information system for integrated planning and control of the production of print products in a networked graphic production, wherein a pre-press system and a press system can be connected to the management information system. In order to facilitate a conclusive management of the color information in the context of a CIP4 workflow, it is suggested that the color extraction is initially transmitted from the prepress system to a management information system, and subsequently there from to the press system.

  • Patent number: 8079582
Abstract: A method for arranging pages of a print product on fold sheets that are subsequently combined into an imposition scheme on print sheets and for representing the production process and the product it produces is disclosed. The print sheets are initially imprinted with the pages and then cut into the fold sheets. The fold sheets are folded and cut and collated into the print products. To make the determination of the imposition schemes more flexible, the pages are initially assigned to partitions of the print products. Pages of a print product that are included in a partition are either not separated from each other, or are only separated from each other by a last cut of the print product.

  • Patent number: 8055524
Abstract: A method for visualizing a processing status of an order is disclosed, wherein the order is issued by a management information system, and executed on an execution system, and wherein status reports associated with the order are transmitted from the execution system to the management information system in Job Definition Format, and incoming status reports are stored in the management information system. In order to achieve simple handling and administration with a high degree of reliability, and simultaneously, with a high degree of flexibility with respect to changing requirements profiles, it is suggested that the processing status for each visualization is determined from the stored status reports on the fly through a parser.
