    Abstract: A degreasing and cleaning method for removing oils from an object includes the steps of heating an object deposited with oils in a container, jetting a cleaning liquid which is mainly water or steam into the container and subsequently evacuating the container to reduce the pressure in the inside of the container to thereby evaporate the deposited oils to remove them from the object. The degreasing and cleaning method can be conducted by an apparatus which includes a vacuum container having a heating means for heating an object deposited with oils, a jetting means for jetting the cleaning liquid into the vacuum container and an exhausting means for exhausting evaporated ingredients formed by steam distillation in the vacuum container therefrom.

    Abstract: A device for sterilizing products packed in cylindrical containers, includes an elongate, essentially cylindrical housing and an essentially cylindrical rotor located therein which can be driven via a central shaft. The circumferential wall of the housing is provided on the inside with a helically running, raised rib. The rotor is designed as a cage having a plurality of rings placed behind each other, the center line of which coincides with the axis of the rotor, and a plurality of raised ribs fastened to the circumference of the rings parallel to the axis of the rotor. The outer edge of the ribs on the rotor is located near the inner edge of the helically running rib on the inner wall of the housing so that spaces are formed between the ribs for receiving the cylindrical containers. Within the rotor between neighboring rings bracing elements in the form of pipes are provided to reinforce the rotor.

    Abstract: A spot welding electrode designed for welding coated metals such as galvanized steel and a method of welding coated metals using the spot welding electrode. The electrode includes a housing having a hollow cavity with an open end and a closed end. The cavity is surrounded by a cooling wall which has an outer surface and a parallel inner surface. The parallel surfaces provide a substantially improved and consistent cooling method for maintaining temperature at the electrode-workpiece interface below the melting point of the coating. The bulk of the heating during the weld cycle is focused at the interface of the workpiece.

    Abstract: A vertical expansion joint for connecting substrates in new of existing structures provides a fabricated seal, comprising a strip of cured, low modulus silicone attached to an open-cell polyurethane backer foam or, alternately, a closed cell polyethylene foam. The silicone strip of the joint is narrower than the backer foam and compatible with construction grade sealants, neutral cure sealants and room-temperature vulcanized sealant. The seal is inserted into the joint to be filled. A wet silicone sealant into the recessed areas on either side of the cured silicone strip. The wet sealant dries and creates a bond between the strip and the substrates. The resulting bond allows extreme expansion and contraction of the curtainwalls or substrates, while maintaining a watertight seal.

    Abstract: A planting tray for direct deployment of trays and plants is described. The tray is ideally formed of a sturdy, biodegradable material. The tray has a flat member with a specific matrix of openings formed therein. A plurality of baskets, in a specific deployment, are affixed to the flat member. The baskets have a plurality of perforations, so that the roots of plants, deployed in soil within the basket, can grow out therethrough. Thus, the tray with plants can be embedded within the ground without the need for transplanting. The deployment of the baskets affixed to the flat member is such that two trays of the present invention may be intermeshed for spaciously efficient deployment.

The base member is secured to the back of the mirror, and the upper end of the mirror shaft is securely retained between the cover member and the base member. Two elongated anchors are cooperatively engaged with two sleeves which are medially disposed abut the mirror shaft.

    Abstract: A formwork, a device for clamping the formwork and a mechanism for actuating the clamping are taught. The formwork includes two molds, which mount together. The clamping device secures the mounted molds and allows the formwork to operate. The clamping device includes a movable member and a tension member, which locks the movable member to protruding sections of each mold. This clamping device is duplicated along the length of the protruding sections. The mechanism for actuating the clamping exerts force upon the movable member to secure it between the tension member and the protruding sections. This same mechanism can withdraw the movable member from the clamp. By this, the clamping is accomplished and a more efficient formwork is achieved.
