Abstract: The invention concerns a tensioning device for the cable of a cable window lifter which is mounted in a drive bracket pulled up and down along a guide rail by means of a cable wound around an actuation drum. One cable end is solidly joined to the drive bracket whereas the other cable end is connected by a directional lock to the drive bracket. This directional lock compensates any cable elongation taking place within the cable actuation system by means of spring action. The tensioning device of the invention is characterized by providing further compensating means. This further compensation is needed in the event of excessive stresses exerted on the cable actuation system in the closed window position which results in a spurious cable elongation caused thereby. It also eliminates this compensation when this excess stress is no longer present.
Abstract: The invention concerns a bowden cable window lift with two guide rails along which the window pane is guided in sliding manner by means of two drive plates actuated by the bowden cable. To compensate for lack of parallelism of the guide rails due to assembly of the window lift, adjustment means are mounted on at least one drive plate whereby the pan can be tipped in its plane and furthermore allowing lateral displacement of the pane relative to the guide rail guiding the drive plate. The adjustment means effecting the tipping of the pane is an adjustable and lockable eccentric stud, and the lateral adjustment of the pane is implemented by an elongated slot in the drive plate within which the eccentric stud is moved transversely.
Abstract: A ball-hitting instrument for playing ball games, comprises a handle and a flat head part (preferably a tennis racket bearing a screen in the head part) and an apparatus for programming and controlling the seizing of the handle and the guiding of the instrument during a player's motions for hitting a ball. The apparatus is mounted on the handle and contains an electronic circuit comprising an on-off switch, a perceivable signals-emitting device such as a buzzer, an integrated circuit chip, a potentiometer and four noiseless, quick-response switches each having a travel path and a circuit-making mercury or magnetic body movable back and forth along that path to make or break circuit.
Abstract: A power tool apparatus which is hand-holdable during operation serves for facilitating especially heavy duty work, e.g. on a high scaffolding. The apparatus is composed of three building blocks, a central one haivng an elongated enveloping shell and an integral transverse wall dividing the shell into a forward and a rearward compartment. The latter contains a speed-reducing transmission unit and has a motor unit attached to the shell rear end. As a third building block the operator equipped with a kit according to the invention has the choice of several inset units, among them a simple front end wall with an intermediate shaft, and the same end wall and an impact-generating unit on the intermediate shaft, which inset units he can introduce through the open front end of the enveloping shell and exchange them as required without taking apart the transmission unit or detaching the motor unit. A handle can likewise be attached to the central shell unit.
Abstract: A woodworking machine comprising at least one tenoning-and-mortizing spindle associated with a length-cutting device and a pivoting roller table consisting of a roller carriage and an associated table plate receiving the workpiece and pivoting about said carriage around a vertical axis is designed in such a manner that in spite of the pivotability of the roller table or of its table plate the same length of the oblique window wood will be obtained in any angular position of said roller table or its table plate. For that purpose the invention provides that the vertical pivot axis of the roller table or its table plate be located on the straight line of intersection between two parallel planes of which one is parallel to the direction of advance of the roller table and includes that side of the saw blade of the length-cutting device which faces the workpiece, whereas the other plane includes one of the two longitudinal sides of the workpiece, the two planes subtending an angle >90.degree.
Abstract: Centrifugal machine for discharging cylindrical containers having adhered viscous products, wherein said products are juice or pulp wastes of vegetables, fruits and the like, which remain adhered on the inner surfaces of generally cylindrical containers having a capacity of about two hundred liters, said machine comprising an auto-balancing support structure supporting a large inverted frusto-conical structure, the largest open base of which extends upwardly forming a converging annular flange towards which products from said containers are driven by centrifugal force, said containers being subjected to a high speed rotation by a rotary structure fixed about a central axle and having at least two radial formations for supporting removable containers with their longitudinal axes radially oriented in a balanced and horizontal manner, with their access covers open located distantly from the axle which is coaxial to the bin, the axle being connected to a radial exhausting turbine located beneath said bin and to a
Abstract: Male and female condoms for the prevention of the transmission of AIDS and other venereal diseases are provided having an apron portion for covering the pubic area, thigh portion for covering the perineum and genitalia portions. Straps integral with the condom or adhesives are used to then hold the condoms in place.
Abstract: A formed or molded body, a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus therefor, wherein several equal or different active ingredients in suitable, equal or different carrier substances are filled at the same time side-by-side without a partition into a uniform enclosure or envelope to provide a formed or molded body with uniform outer appearance and with separate inner regions.
Abstract: A butt-end wood holding system for a tenoning-and-mortising apparatus. The butt-end wood holding system comprising a pivotal guide member which engages the butt-end of a work-piece. The pivotal guide member is rotatably linked to the relatively fixed base of the mortising-and-tenoning spindle so that rotation of a concentric and rotatable support ring of the guide member, located about the spindle support, results in a parallel horizontal translation of the pivoting guide member. The butt-end wood guide member support being separately linked to the relatively fixed mortising-and-tenoning spindle support.
Abstract: This invention provides for administering to donor animals a substance that generates both anti-viral agents, such as interferon, in the blood and anti-bacterial or antitoxic antibodies. This is done at a certain time before recovery of plasma so that both the anti-viral substance (interferon), and anti-bacterial or antitoxic antibodies are substantially maximized. In the case of non-human animals the blood is recovered from animals to be slaughtered and plasma containing both the interferon and anti-bacterial (antitoxic/antibodies) is separated, thereby providing a significant quantity of scarce serum inexpensively.
