  • Patent number: 7401859
Abstract: Deformable guides for use with smaller persons and/or in a child restraint system are provided. The guides are of at least two varieties, one for inclusion within a belt system, so as to absorb the impact and stresses of a collision or other abrupt vehicular motion and the other of a type useful to guide the restraint system of an automobile about the correct location on a smaller person. The second type permits a smaller individual to be properly secured to a restraint system in spite of his small stature. The guides are made of multiple layers of metal, plastic or other structurally significant materials, or combinations thereof, and designed to receive the energy of a collision such that a guide will deform, without breaking, absorbing the energy of a collision or other abrupt action.

  • Patent number: 7402285
Abstract: Twelve reaction vessels (2) in two parallel rows are attached to a switch block (401). The switch block (401) comprises a reaction block (403) and twelve slide plates (404), which are arranged within it and which can be adjusted between an open position, a closed position and a further position. In the open position, access in straight line to the associated reaction vessel (2) is possible whereas in the closed position, the corresponding reaction vessel (2) is closed in a pressure-tight manner by the switch block (401). In the case of a positive pressure or depression in the reaction vessel (2), the corresponding slide plate (404) is pressed by this positive pressure or depression against the reaction block (403) or is drawn onto it. By means of this switch block (401), it is also possible to carry out processes in which high positive pressures are present in the reaction vessels (2).

  • Patent number: 7400724
Abstract: The present invention relates to a quantum cryptography system for the secure key generation, especially with signal sources and analysis channels. The signal sources are arranged spatially separated in such a manner that the wave fronts of light signals emitted by them superimpose partially at the input of the quantum channel. The analysis channels are arranged in such a manner that the wave front of the light signals coming from the quantum channel are split up spatially and at least two of the parts are analyzed in a quantum mechanical state.

  • Patent number: 7396406
Abstract: A single crystal semiconductor manufacturing method for realizing a dislocation-free single crystal while not varying or hardly varying electric power supplied to a heater when and after a seed crystal comes into contact with a melt. The allowable temperature difference ?Tc not causing dislocation in the seed crystal is determined according to the concentration (C) of the impurities added to the seed crystal (14) and the size (diameter D) of the seed crystal (14). When the seed crystal (14) comes into contact with the melt (5), electric power supplied to a bottom heater (19) is fixed, and a magnetic field produced by a magnet (20) is applied to the melt (5). Electric power supplied to a main heater (9) is controlled so that the temperature at the surface of the melt (5) which the seed crystal (14) comes into contact with may be a target value. After the seed crystal (14) comes into contact with the melt (5), single crystal silicon is pulled up without performing a necking process.

  • Patent number: 7395310
Abstract: An apparatus for routing a transaction message, such as for example a telephone call, e-mail, web chat request, video conferencing session, or non-call event, includes a queue engine and a transaction message router. The queue engine provides an integrated mechanism for queuing transaction messages of varying transaction types within a number of queues according to transaction type. Each queue within the queue engine may be dedicated to queuing transaction messages of a specific transaction type. The transaction message router functions to identify a queue within the queue engine within which a transaction message is to be stored. The identification of a queue by the router may be performed with reference to the transaction type of a transaction message, and with reference to context or addressing information associated with a transaction message.
