Abstract: A package for storing diskettes with different dimensions is disclosed. The package includes a casing and a tray pivatally and receivably engaged with the casing. The casing is composed of a top panel, a bottom panel, and two side panels in connection with each other and extending between the top panel and the bottom panel. The tray defines a bottom wall, two opposed side walls and a rear wall. The rear wall of the tray has a plurality of spaced stoppers formed thereon. The two opposed side walls of the tray respectively have an elastic strip mounted thereon for grippingly securing the diskettes disposed on the bottom wall. Each of the elastic strips has a rib longitudinally formed on an outer periphery thereof for separating an upper diskette from a lower diskette. Additionally, each of the opposed side walls of the tray has an overhang formed at a top edge thereof for restricting the diskette.
Abstract: Disclosed is an atomizer producing a superfine spray which is assembled mainly from a base, an interconnection member, and a cock, and is connected to a union connecting two water pipes. The base has filter material disposed therein, the interconnection member has an elastic stopper means disposed therein, and the cock has a spin element disposed therein. A high-pressure water flow is transferred via water pipes and enters the base of the atomizer when it passes the union. The high-pressure water is filtered in the base and pushes away the elastic stopper means to enter into the cock via the interconnection member. High-pressure water entering the cock fiercely flushes and rotates the spin element in the cock. The rotating spin element in turn swirls and splashes the water to produce a superfine spray which is forced into open air via a pin hole on the cock and can be dissolved in the air to effectively lower the ambient temperature.
Abstract: An anatomically specific, bioresorbable, implant device for facilitating the healing of voids in bone, cartilage and soft tissue is disclosed. A preferred embodiment of using the implant device for facilitating the healing of a human joint lesion includes a cartilage region invested with an alginate microstructure joined with a subchondral bone region invested with a hyaluronan microstructure. The alginate selectively dispersed in the cartilage region enhances the environment for chondrocytes to grow articular cartilage. The hyaluronan selectively dispersed in the subchondral bone region enhances the environment for mesenchymal cells which migrate into that region's macrostructure and which differentiate into osteoblasts. The microstructures can be invested at varying concentrations in the regions. A hydrophobic barrier, strategically positioned within the subchondral bone region macrostructure, shields the chondrocytes from the oxygenated blood in subchondral cancellous bone.
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for liquefying tires is shown in a first form including a plurality of tire modules (12) holding tires which are immersed in and preheated by a slurry located in a tank (22). After preheating, the tire module (12) and tires held thereon are removed from the preheat tank (22) and are immersed in a slurry located in a high temperature tank (28). The temperature of the slurry in the high temperature tank (28) is sufficient to liquify the tires. As the tires liquify, the slurry produced is retained in the high temperature tank (28) to immerse further tires and also overflows from the high temperature tank (28) to the preheat tank (22) and then to a storage tank (36). The slurry from the storage tank (36) can be pumped to the burner (42) of the heat exchanger (48) for heating the slurry in the high temperature tank (28) or can be used for other purposes.

Abstract: A socket for a ratchet wrench includes a polygonal recess defined longitudinally therein by at least six side surfaces and corners, a first protrusion and a second protrusion being alternately extending radially from any two adjacent side surfaces defining the polygonal recess, the first protrusion having a notch defined therein which is defined by two edges with different rates of slope, the second protrusion being structured symmetrically to the first protrusion and the first notch about a bisector of the corner located between the first protrusion and the second protrusion.
Abstract: A floor scrubber (10) is disclosed including a drive lug (62) for removably connecting a scrubbing member (64) to a drive (60) and having a trough for receipt and catching of solution for passage to the surface. The mount (58) for the drive (60) is biased by a spring (67) to pivot relative to a linkage plate (46) in turn pivotably mounted to the chassis (12) at an acute angle to the forward movement direction. The vacuum assembly (92) is sandwiched in a socket (100) formed in the bottom wall of a recovery tank (90) by a mount (106) to deaden the sound generated thereby and to allow air communication inside of the socket (100) but generally preventing entry of solution therein. The squeegee assembly (152) is biased by a gas spring (150) to engage the surface at a constant force independent of the pivotal position of the squeegee mount (148).

Abstract: An earphone/microphone assembly has a main body, an earphone/microphone union device, and a connection wire connected to the main body and the earphone/microphone union device. The main body has a base seat, a wire receiving disk disposed in the base seat, a plurality of annular bosses formed on the wire receiving disk, a reel disk disposed in the base seat to cover the wire receiving disk, a plurality of reeds disposed on a bottom of the reel disk, a center recess hole formed on the reel disk, a magnet disposed in the reel disk, an annular groove formed on the reel disk, and a hollow casing covering the base seat. The hollow casing has a through hole. A plug is disposed on the hollow casing. A lead wire surrounds the annular bosses. An end of the connection wire is connected to one of the reeds. The connection wire winds the annular groove.
Abstract: An oesophagus seal for sealing the oesophagus in a slaughtered animal comprises a plug (10) for insertion into the oesophagus (40) and a retainer in the form of a clamp (20) which internally engages and clamps to tissues of the oesophagus (40) to resist disengagement of the plug. The plug (10) has an outer peripheral clamp surface (13) and the clamp (20) is in the form of a clamp ring (21) which clamps the internal mucosa (41) of the oesophagus (40) between the clamp ring (21) and the outside clamp surface (13). The plug (10) has a reduced diameter neck (15) and a conical ramped outer surface (16) leading to the clamp surface. The clamp ring (21) is initially located beyond the neck (15) and is advanceable so that tissues (41) surrounding and projecting into the neck portion (15), e.g.

Abstract: A mechanism (10) for actuating an electric circuit includes a cover (124) having a front wall including a broad surface and movably mounted by pins (126) extending through apertures (108) formed in a mount (90) of a housing (12), with the cover (124) being biased by springs (130) located on the pins (126). Tongues (136) of the cover (124) engage the legs (118) of first and second actuating arms (112, 114) to pivot the arms (112, 114) to pivot an actuation lever (100). The lever (100) includes an actuation finger (104) which pushes against the toggle (38) of a switch (36) to de-energize the circuit. Thus, when any point of the cover (124) is pushed towards the mount (90), the switch (36) is moved to de-energize the circuit. A switch lever (70) is pivotably mounted to the housing (12) and is pivoted by a slideable actuator (42) to move the switch (36) to energize the electric circuit.
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for cooling and tempering bacon slabs supported upon wheeled trucks (24) which can be rolled on the floor (14) inside a cooler (12) includes an evaporator (26) having multiple fans (34) for moving air through refrigerated coils (32) and in the cooler (12). The fans (34) are alternately rotated in opposite directions for equal time segments and baffles (40) are provided inside of the cooler (12) to assure uniform air chilling. A controller (46) operates the evaporator (26) so that the air inside of the cooler (12) is cooled to a temperature less than the internal product temperature which is greater than freezing and specifically in the preferred form at a desired temperature differential of 20.degree. F. (11.degree. C.) until an intermediate internal product temperature is reached.
