  • Patent number: 4605113
Abstract: A clutch release, in particular for automobile clutches, comprises a sliding sleeve having a radially outwardly directed flange and an annular groove, a clutch release bearing having an outer ring with a flange that slidably abuts the sliding sleeve flange, and a generally oval-shaped spring ring having a pair of mutually parallel guiding surfaces. The spring ring is arranged between the outer ring and the annular groove at points mutually displaced in the axial direction. The bearing is arranged to rotate relative to the sliding sleeve in the circumferential direction within predetermined limits and to move in a radial direction along the guiding surfaces by overcoming a radially acting frictional force between the slidably abutting flanges. The spring ring has a substantially bow-shaped profile and is slotted. The inner ring of the bearing has a radially outwardly directed pressure flange for abutting with the diaphragm spring of a clutch.

  • Patent number: 4601528
Abstract: An electrical connector including moisture sealing and self-locking features comprises pins on the plug, shrouded by a hollow sleeve extending from a unitary body formed of a rigid plastic. The receptacle member, of rigid material, includes sockets for receiving the individual pins. The socketed portion of the receptacle member is surrounded by a hollow sleeve which tapers on its inner surface. The plug member sleeve is untapered. A raised resilient band extends continuously around the plug member sleeve, the band being an integral part of the plug member. When the connector members mate the sleeve on the plug member telescopes between the sleeve and the socket portion of the receptacle member with the elastic band compressed against the tapered inner wall of the receptacle sleeve to form a moisture proof seal. A second resilient integral band extends around the sleeve of the plug member and engages an inner peripheral groove, provided in the tapered surface of the receptacle member.

  • Patent number: 4597158
Abstract: A pressure connecting device comprising a pressure connecting rod for squeezing cables one by one into the pressure contacts of a connector to establish electrical connection, a guide bar having a slide surface being in slidable contact with the slide surface of the pressure connecting rod and adapted to support in position the cable, whereby the cable is sheared by the rod and the guide bar before squeezing the cable into the contact of the connector. According to this construction, the cutting faces formed on the pressure connecting rod and the guide bar do not collide with each other in shearing the cable, thereby to remarkably lengthen the service life thereof. Besides, the cutting faces are equal in height to the side surface of the connector, thereby preventing the sheared end of the cable from protruding from the connector.

  • Patent number: 4593377
Abstract: To determine the coordinate values of quantized sequential dots on a line segment connecting desired two points (x.sub.1, y.sub.1), (x.sub.2, y.sub.2) in a two-dimensional quantized coordinate system, line segment coordinates are processed at high speed by providing counters, each of which employs one quantum unit as the reference clock signal thereof, respectively for the x-axis and y-axis, controlling reference clock signals, which are to be input to the counters, in accordance with the information on the two points (x.sub.1, y.sub.1), (x.sub.2, y.sub.2), and employing output values of the counters as coordinate values of the quantized sequential dots. The above method features high-speed processing operations.

  • Patent number: 4591276
Abstract: A radial ball-and-socket bearing having an elastic outer ring for receiving a ball-shaped element. An annular, axially directed recess is formed in the front surface of the outer ring, and a plurality of axially directed slots extend radially therethrough from the front face. The slots and recess define sets of inner and outer tongues which flex to enable insertion of the ball-shaped element in the bore of the outer ring. At least one of the confronting surfaces of the radially adjacent inner and outer tongues is provided with one or more ribs, which are separated from the facing tongue surface by a gap when the bearing is unassembled and which are nearly or completely closed when the bearing is assembled. The circumferential surface of the outer ring has radial projections in the area of the recess for snapping the outer ring into the bore of a housing.

  • Patent number: 4583413
Abstract: A gear system has two ring gears engaging a coupling member directly instead of through an intermediate coupling ring. For example, the ring gears are mounted adjacent to one another on a common axis and have respective helical running teeth which engage oppositely-handed arrays of helical teeth on planet gear wheels which, in turn, mesh with a sun gear wheel. The ring gears also have arrays of external spur coupling teeth offset towards one another from the centers of the running teeth, respectively. The arrays of external teeth mesh with internal spur coupling teeth on the annular coupling member. The ring gears have mutually opposed lubricated abutment surfaces whereby respective transverse forces arising effectively at the centers of the running teeth and acting parallel to the common axis are countered by oppositely acting respective reactions exerted by the ring gears mutually one upon the other.
