Abstract: Toll transaction payment processing includes accessing image data for a vehicle, the image data corresponding to at least one image of the vehicle engaging in a transaction with a toll facility. The image data is processed to determine one or more vehicle identifiers for the vehicle. A fleet vehicle company associated with the vehicle is electronically identified based on the one or more vehicle identifiers. Billing information for the transaction between the vehicle and the toll facility is electronically communicated to the fleet vehicle company.

Abstract: A remote data processing system facilitates monitoring of the remote data processing system. The remote data processing system receives a data message via a communications network. The remote data processing system cascades at least a first stage software component and a second stage software component to form an installed remote software module for accepting the received data message. The remote data processing system detects the data message or a derivative at a group of logical nodes within the installed remote software module to determine flow of the data message, or a derivative thereof, between the logical nodes. The remote data processing system identifies a deficient software component of the installed remote software module as any of said software stage components that blocks or disrupts the flow of the data message between two adjacent logical nodes.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically provisioning a composite telecommunications product comprising a plurality of sub-products or services in response to a single customer order are provided. A composite telecommunications product may comprise, for example, Internet Access (IA), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services bundled together as a single product. The present invention allows all three sub-products to be automatically provisioned in response to a single customer order for the composite product.

Abstract: Novel techniques are provided to determine concurrent hardware resource usage as expressed in activity performed by hardware processors. A cloud computing consumer can verify the level of the quality of service provided by the physical infrastructure of a cloud, thereby allowing the consumer the ability to request a transfer of the hosting physical infrastructure to a less burdened physical machine.

Abstract: A method and system that provide analytical tools for increasing average revenue per user (ARPU) allows users to design and execute marketing campaigns that target customers with a statistically significant likelihood of accepting a marketing campaign offer and generating the greatest increase in revenue. The method and system creates statistical models to determine an individual customer's propensity to respond positively to a campaign and propensity to generate increased revenue. The method and system scores the customers according to the customers' propensities, and uses the scoring results to select an optimal mix of customers to contact during the marking campaign.

Abstract: Methods and systems for processing claims (e.g., healthcare insurance claims) are described. For example, prior to payment of an unpaid claim, a prediction is made as to whether or not an attribute specified in the claim is correct. Depending on the prediction results, the claim can be flagged for an audit. Feedback from the audit can be used to update the prediction models in order to refine the accuracy of those models.

Abstract: According to an example, an adaptive fault diagnosis system may include a memory storing machine readable instructions to receive metrics and events from an enterprise system, and use a substitution graph to determine if a received metric or a received event belongs to a cluster that includes one or more correlated metrics and/or events grouped based on similarity. If the received metric or the received event belongs to the cluster, the memory may further store machine readable instructions to use a detection graph to determine if the received metric or the received event is identifiable to form a fault pattern by traversing a fault path of the detection graph. Further, the memory may further store machine readable instructions to diagnose a fault based on the traversal of the fault path of the detection graph. The system may include a processor to implement the machine readable instructions.

Abstract: Technician control, in which a control system is configured to control scheduling and dispatch operations for work orders being handled by technicians. Multiple technician devices are each associated with one or more technicians, are configured to communicate, over a network, with the control system, and also are configured to provide output in response to communications that are received from the control system and that are related to the scheduling and dispatch operations performed by the control system. A set of scheduling configuration options may be pre-defined and user input weighting at least one of the scheduling configuration options relative to other of the scheduling configuration options may be received. A scheduling application used by the control system to perform scheduling operations may be configured based on configuration data that reflects the weighting and scheduling operations may be performed using the configured scheduling application.

Optimizing target stock levels for the inventory of parts may be accomplished by calculating an inventory baseline for understanding information about the currently held inventory; developing a service strategy for a set of segments; quantifying a service level for each of the segments; analyzing the segments and their service levels for identifying at least one logistically distinct business; assigning each of the segments to a “best-fit” planning model for indicating each segment's deployment, replenishment, forecasting and review characteristics; identifying a probability distribution function for estimating a demand process of each of the segments; and calculating a target stock level for each segment.

Abstract: An energy analysis system provides valuable input into building energy expenditures. The system assists with obtaining a detailed view of how energy consumption occurs in a building, what steps may be taken to lower the energy footprint, and executing detailed energy consumption analysis. The analysis may include, as examples, a balance point pair analysis to determine either or both of a heating balance point and a cooling balance point, an exception rank analysis to identify specific data (e.g., energy consumption data) in specific time intervals for further review, or other analysis. The system may display the analysis results on a user interface.

The device may determine a semantic relatedness score between at least one excluded term and at least one included term. The device may selectively add the excluded linguistic term to the glossary terms to form a final set of glossary terms based on the semantic relatedness score, and may output the final set of glossary terms.

Abstract: Streaming voice signals, such as might be received at a contact center or similar operation, are analyzed to detect the occurrence of one or more unprompted, predetermined utterances. The predetermined utterances preferably constitute a vocabulary of words and/or phrases having particular meaning within the context in which they are uttered. Detection of one or more of the predetermined utterances during a call causes a determination of response-determinative significance of the detected utterance(s). Based on the response-determinative significance of the detected utterance(s), a responsive action may be further determined. Additionally, long term storage of the call corresponding to the detected utterance may also be initiated. Conversely, calls in which no predetermined utterances are detected may be deleted from short term storage.

Abstract: A railcar asset management system proactively issues an alert or task when a pre-determined event occurs. The system may receive information regarding the location and status of a railcar from sensors on the railcar that may include a telematics sensing unit. A database in the railway telematics system stores the data regarding the railcar location and status information. The system determines whether an event has occurred and issues the proactive alerts and/or task. The system may communicate the proactive alert via e-mail, paging, PDAs or by cell phone and may provide interactive preconfigured web pages.

Abstract: A method and system for managing an application in a cloud data center by monitoring the bandwidth of a subnet of which the primary operating instance of an application is a member. If a severe deterioration in the bandwidth caused by an over consumption of the subnet resources from other subnet constituents is detected, a suitable secondary instance in an alternate, uncompromised subnet is located and primary operation of the application is transferred from the former primary operating instance to the secondary instance. The secondary instance can be pre-launched or dynamically requisitioned in the cloud data center.

Abstract: In an analyst network, at least representative data of information elements (i.e., discrete quantities of content suitable for analysis by one or more analysts), acquired by a routing controller, is provided to a workstation. Based on the representative data, displayed results are provided including information indicative of processing performed by at least a portion of a plurality of analysts using the analyst network. Indicia of treatment indicative of treatment statuses of individual information elements are preferably provided in the displayed data. Various occurrences may give rise to updated treatment statuses that cause the displayed data to be updated as well. In this manner, the present invention enables individual analysts to prioritize processing of information elements based on processing performed throughout the entire analyst network.
