    Abstract: An electronic drive includes an electro-mechanical brake associated with a direct-current motor. A first valve or diode connects one of the terminals of the direct-current motor with the first electrical terminal of the brake in a forward direction. A second valve or diode connects the other terminal of the direct-current motor with the first electrical terminal of the brake. A second electrical terminal of the brake is at least indirectly connected with a reference voltage.
