Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-cylinder Otto cycle internal combustion engine for motor vehicles, of the type in which the number of working cylinders varies with the power delivered, and in which the working cylinders for any power condition have a compression ratio which is greater than the compression ratio of the complementary cylinders, these latter being supercharged.
