Abstract: A transfer device for an industrial robot includes two members, preferably having tubular shapes, the first member being extendable and/or retractable over a certain distance and a second member, preferably telescopically coupled to the first member, which is extendable and/or retractable over substantially the same distance with respect to the first member so that the second member is extendable and/or retractable over about twice the distance the first member is moved with respect to a fixed reference point. The device further comprises a support on which the first member is mounted, first drive apparatus for extending and/or retracting the first member with respect to the support and second apparatus for extending and/or retracting the second member with respect to the first member.
Abstract: A chaise lounge has a supporting unit whose longitudinal members are provided with rollers and are slotted to receive arms of a backrest which have pins selectively engageable in notches along these slots and whose free ends are engageable by abutments on the underside of the supporting unit to cantilever the backrest on the latter.
Abstract: An impervious article of plastic material including a reinforcing frame member imperviously sealed within the plastic material which forms an outer covering thereof, is obtained by disposing the reinforcing frame member within a channel formed in shock resistant thermoplastic material, by heating a portion of the shock resistant thermoplastic material on outer sides thereof opposite sides defining the channel in which the reinforcing member is disposed, and over an area near an open portion of the channel to at least the softening point of the shock resistant plastic material, and then injecting a compatible plastic material substantially resistant to cracking under stress onto the outer sides of the thermoplastic material and over the open part of the channel in which the reinforcing member is disposed.
Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in shellfish traps. According to the invention, the trap consists of a bottom 1 weighted with concrete blocks 19 onto which is fastened a cage 2 provided with a truncated entrance opening 7. Means 8 are provided on the bottom and cooperate with opening 7 to facilitate the stacking of traps one upon the other. The invention is applied particularly to shellfish fishing.
Abstract: An extendable table has a legged base defining a horizontal support surface extending in longitudinal and transverse directions and having a pair of outer transversely extending edges, a first table panel resting on the support surface and having a transversely extending inner edge intermediate and generally parallel to the outer edges, and a second table panel restable on the support surface, having a transversely extending inner edge buttable with the inner edge of the first panel, and formed with a pair of transversely open and longitudinally extending grooves. Respective rollers on the base underneath the second panel define a transversely extending first pivot axis, and extend transversely into guiding engagement with the grooves. Thus the second panel can slide longitudinally relative to the base on the rollers and can be pivoted on the rollers about the first pivot axis.
Abstract: Handling case with incorporated foldable lid.According to the invention, the case includes a lid made of two parts (4, 5) hinged to one another about a hinge (6) and which may be tipped against one another, hook-shaped mechanisms (12) being provided on the front part (5) of the lid which lock into slots (13) formed in a corresponding location along the edge (14) of the case when the lid is closed. The invention is applicable in particular to cases which can be stacked one inside the other when they are empty.
