  • Patent number: 9095644
Abstract: A fluid collector has a container, a T-tube, a first screw unit and a second screw unit. The T-tube is connected to the container and has a main pipe and a branch pipe. The first screw unit is mounted in an outlet end of the main pipe. The second screw unit is mounted in a connecting end of the branch pipe, which is connected to the main pipe. The branch pipe has a detecting opening far from the connecting end and connects to a detecting device. By changing the length of the first and second screw units, different detecting values of the pressure are adjusted according to containers with different capacities. Moreover, with the flowing resistance resulting from the first and second screw units, different pressure variations are performed when liquid or air passes through the T-tube. Therefore, massive hemorrhage is clearly identified to keep the patient safe.

  • Patent number: 8978656
Abstract: A tube-positioning device mounted on a breathing mask and holding a breathing tube has a headgear buckle and a tube retainer. The headgear buckle has a pivot bracket formed thereon and having a pivot hole defined through the pivot bracket and an annular groove defined radially in the pivot bracket. The tube retainer is mounted detachably and rotatably on the headgear buckle and has two resilient arms, a clamping recess, a pivot shaft and two hooking arms. The resilient arms are curved and the clamping recess is formed between the resilient arms. The hooking arms are formed respectively on and protrude down from the resilient arms and detachably engage and hook in the annular groove of the pivot bracket. Pressing the resilient arms toward each other disengages the hooking arms from the annular groove to rapidly detach the tube retainer from the headgear buckle.

  • Patent number: 8851074
Abstract: A breathing mask has a mask body, a mounting bracket and a universal connecting tube. The mask body has a first universal socket bracket having a first spherical recess. The mounting bracket is mounted on the mask body and has a second universal socket bracket having a second spherical recess. The universal connecting tube is mounted universally pivotally in the mask body and has a ball joint mounted universally rotatably in the first and second spherical recesses. The universally rotating ball joint allows a breathing tube connected to the universal connecting tube to pivot to any orientations and prevents the breathing tube from over bending.

  • Publication number: 20140261419
Abstract: A water chamber for a respiratory therapy apparatus has a base casing, a cover casing and a partition. The partition makes the air flows downward, turns around and then goes up to prolong the route and the time of the air passing through the water chamber. Therefore, the air can be saturated with moisture sufficiently to increase the air humidity. When the air is passing through the water chamber, the air is divided into two parts to each respectively enter a first tube and a second tube. The audio frequencies caused by the two parts of the air are changed due to a change of a cross sectional area. When the two parts of the air converge, the audio frequency is changed again. The partition makes the air in different portions of the water chamber have different audio frequencies, thereby reducing the resonance to eliminate noise.

  • Publication number: 20130317463
Abstract: A negative pressure wound therapy system has a buffering unit connected between an actuator and a wound dressing. The buffering unit has similar physical condition with the wound, and consumes its negative pressure to compensate for the negative pressure loss in the wound to resist the pressure rise in the wound during slight leakage. The buffering unit also keeps the actuator from directly operating on the wound to reduce the pain of the patient while lowering the pressure in the wound.

  • Patent number: 8544470
Abstract: A replaceable forehead liner for the continuous positive airway pressure machine, which includes a base, a support, and a locking member. The base has a plurality of flexible pads and a connecting member for bridging the flexible pads. The support has a plurality of support pillars and a support plate connecting the support pillars. The support pillars, the support plate, and the flexible pads form a hollow area, and each support pillar has a hollow hole. The hollow area and holes make the support pillars elastic and compressible. The locking member forms off the surface of the support pillars and the support plate, with the locking member being wider than the side of the hollow area. The locking member has a locking portion for engaging to the clipping portion of the CPAP mask. Functionally, the replaceable forehead liner is more secured and improves pressure relief for the user.

  • Patent number: 8303555
Abstract: A collector for a negative pressure wound therapy system has a soft collecting bag with a gas-permeable unit and a liquid absorber. The collecting bag is connected to a wound-dressing unit via an inlet connecting set and is connected to a sensor assembly via a detecting connecting set. With the soft collecting bag, the collector occupies less volume. By the gas-permeable unit and the liquid absorber, the liquid and gas entering into the collecting bag quickly isolate. Moreover, multiple collectors connect in series to form a collector combination to reduce the frequency to replace the collector combination so that a longer usage time of the collector combination is available.

  • Publication number: 20120053542
Abstract: An actuator has a pump head detachably connecting to an external motor. When the actuator extracts the pus and the infection subjects, the fluid only flows through the pump head so that only the pump head needs to be made of biocompatibility materials. Therefore, the manufacturing cost is reduced. Moreover, because the motor is not made of biocompatibility materials, only the pump head needs to be treated as medical wastes so that the disposal cost is reduced. Furthermore, since the pump head is detachable from the motor, the infected pump head is replaced independently to lower the replacement cost.
