  • Patent number: 12051170
Abstract: Various implementations provide a view of a 3D environment including a portal for viewing a stereo item (e.g., a photo or video) positioned a distance behind the portal. One or more visual effects are provided based on texture of one or more portions of the stereo item, e.g., texture at cutoff or visible edges of the stereo item. The effects change the appearance of the stereo item or the portal itself, e.g., improving visual comfort issues by minimizing window violations or otherwise enhancing the viewing experience. Various implementations provide a view of a 3D environment including an immersive view of a stereo item without using portal. Such a visual effect may be provided to partially obscure the surrounding 3D environment.

  • Patent number: 12052602
Abstract: A service device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), or other network component) can operate to generate sidelink communications with peer UE vehicle-to-vehicle devices based on PC5 channel to enable a peer-to-peer communication as part of PC5 vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. An admission control scheme or a congestion control scheme can be enabled by determining a configured mapping based on various criteria, including a priority of V2X services, V2X packet Quality of Service (QoS) indications per packet, or other criteria. • Patent number: 12052187
Abstract: Techniques discussed herein may better ensure efficient fine time tracking during a second cell (SCell) activation procedure by using a tracking reference signal (TRS) that is User Equipment (UE) specific. A primary cell (PCell) may provide a UE with a TRS configuration that includes a UE-specific reference signal (RS) with periodicity or aperiodicity. In response to receiving a SCell activation command from the PCell, the UE may perform cell activation with fine time tracking in accordance with the UE-specific RS. As the delay time for the UE-specific RS may be less than the delay time for a system synchronization block (SSB) from the SCell, use of the UE-specific RS may expedite the cell activation procedure.

  • Patent number: 12050770
Abstract: In some embodiments, an electronic device in communication with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface, and while displaying the user interface, the electronic device receives touch input comprising a contact detected on the touch-sensitive surface. In some embodiments, in response to receiving the touch input, and in accordance with a determination that the touch input satisfies first criteria, wherein the first criteria include a requirement that the contact continues to be detected in a predefined region of the touch-sensitive surface for longer than a time threshold, the electronic device displays a first indication that further input of a first type detected at the touch sensitive surface will cause the device to display a first system user interface. In some embodiments, in accordance with a determination that the touch input does not satisfy the first criteria, the electronic device forgoes displaying the first indication.

  • Patent number: 12052763
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for reducing latency in a high-propagation-delay wireless communication system. A user equipment device (UE) may transmit to a base station a random access initiation message, having a characteristic that is configured to indicate to the base station a requested size of a subsequent uplink grant to be provided by the base station for transmission of uplink data by the UE. For example, the characteristic may include a predetermined preamble included in the random access initiation message, such that a requested grant size is indicated by which preamble the UE selects from a plurality of possible preambles. As another example, the characteristic may include which RACH occasion is selected by the UE to transmit the random access initiation message. In response, the base station may allocate resources for use by the UE based on the characteristic.

  • Patent number: 12052625
Abstract: Performing a UE-triggered lower layer-based handover may include performing measurements of source gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a source gNB. Measurements of target gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a target gNB may be performed, wherein the CSI-RS samples associated with the source gNB and the CSI-RS samples associated with the target gNB are transmitted in a burst structure. A subset of the source gNB CSI-RS samples and the target gNB CSI-RS samples may be filtered using a layer 1 or a layer 2 filter. A filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples may be generated. Based on the generated filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples, determining whether a handover from the source gNB to the target gNB is to occur.
